- Hi, teachers! Sharing here with you my 3rd attempt with the Native Camp demo. I took the first demo last year before December but failed (I guess because Francis didn't like my kiddie-style way of teaching - applying too much TPR haha). Today, I decided to apply again (2nd and 3rd attempts). I noticed that both my 1st demo (with Francis) and 2nd (with Melissa) only lasted for 5-7 minutes while the 3rd one lasted for 25 mins. Could this be it? HAHAH. Anyway, feel free to watch the entire video and learn from my mistakes (if you want to apply too!). ;) Still waiting for the results tho and hoping for a positive one. 🙏

BASIC SCRIPT/FLOW (you may rephrase):
1. Hi! Welcome to Native Camp!
2. Can you hear me? // Can you see me?
3. My name is Teacher ___. It is a must to type your name on the chat box
4. What about you? What's your name?
You may type the name of the student in the chat box to make sure you got the name correctly
4.1. Nice to meet you! :)
5. Is my speaking speed too fast? adjust if necessary
6. I would like to confirm the lesson number, that's _____. Is that correct?
~~ Proceed with the Class Proper ~~
TIPS AND TRICKS DURING THE DEMO:
📌Utilize the chat box and make it your whiteboard as if you're writing on the board (only that you are actually typing)
📌Follow the flow - they are kinda strict about it; you will fail by simply not following the flow (the main reason why I failed in my 2nd attempt haha)
📌Repeat words/phrases/sentences as much as possible or whenever necessary.
📌Encourage the student to answer in complete sentence.
📌The evaluator will ask you about anything so expect the unexpected and answer him/her with conviction haha :D
📌Lastly, ENJOY! Don't get intimidated by how the evaluator acts or asks you - he/she is clearly just testing you 😉

Great job, teacher! Just pay attention about the word NATO. You said like "NARO". And it is naTo. In my demo lesson I did the same mistake and the adm. said that I did wrong. 🤣 I remember that. But after I passed on my 3rd. 😘💖

Natto is like a side dish for Eastern countries . It
The irony and funny things about NC is that they hire too many applicants with poor English and fail those with good standards. In this case, the interviewee has better command in English than the interviewer (with so many grammar lapses) .. yet the former was failed 2 times! Another thing I noticed, other ESL companies' interviewers ask you sensible questions during the demo compared to NC's na sometimes.. mema lang. Seems like that they hire based on personal matters and not on your credentials probably because some staff don't even have the skills to begin with. Disappointing

*Message - here you can make your application status inquiry (you may indicate that you have completed the demo lesson on what date and you're making a gentle follow-up, etc)

Hi Teach. Tanong ko lang po, sabi nung admin saken "You passed the demo, and I'll submit your application to our manager" after that, scoring na yung lumabas sa screen, that I have to wait for the result for 48 hours. Does that mean po ba na hindi pa sure kung accepted ako as their teacher?
Hello teach kumusta? Same sa akin, mga ilang days ako nag hintay ng result sa scoring. If passed ka na sa demo teach, most likely papasa ka rin sa scoring :)

Nativecamp and Rarejob interviewers are not competent enough to pick the right teachers...luck plays a very important role sometimes...

hahaha masyado ka pinagod ni admin Diana dito teach..in my demo lesson, the 1st time I took it, the connection got cut and so I received a prompt of retake. In my 2nd attempt, I forgot why I failed except for some dead air but admin Melissa was so considerate and gave me another chance to retake. I immediately retake it 3rd time. Fortunately passed it. As of now, I am reviewing the materials to give a worthy class to my students. Happy teaching..

I just finished my demo yesterday and it was my first try. So far maganda po lahat ng feedback ng admin sakin. As of now po is nasa scoring nako... Nanuod po muna ako ng demo nyo bago ako mag start.

Ang daming grammar lapses nung interviewer haha
in my opinion, the interviewer should learn from the applicant who is waaayyyy better in terms of diction and accent. just listen to how this interviewer pronounces each word and listen to how the applicant speaks. the applicant is a natural English speaker, even the diction is waaaayyyyyy better than the interviewer. my point is, if you are the interviewer, make sure your grammar is correct! that is a no brainer. you are pointing out the errors of the applicant on grammar and all but you yourself have countless errors!
TO WIT (the interviewer's WRONG USE OF GRAMMAR:
21:10 "ask me A QUESTIONS (???LOL)
21:36 "you gave me another questions" (say what? the word "another" is ALWAYS used with singular nouns)
21:43 "...applying a words or a phrases" (WHAT? "a" followed by plural?
"an answers"
"your student can able"
Is this interviewer for real? i can't believe what I'm hearing! the nerve to correct the applicant! I already stopped listening to all her errors! can't take it anymore!

The admin intended to make wrong answer. Kaya advice nila sa mga firstimer/newbie be attentive and be mindful. They will intentionally say the wrong answer talaga. Sva rule kc minsan minamali talga ng admin ang kanilang sentence para icorrect mo sila.

@@jomalyngases7618 I think so, teach. P80/booked classes and P54/sudden classes sa NC. Sa 51talk walang sudden classes, so you'll earn more with NC when you have both sudden and booked. 😊 Also, more on adults ang studs sa NC, unlike 51 na more on kids.

geeeezzz... You have better pronunciation than the interviewer most especially when constructing grammatically correct sentences. She had too many grammar mistakes and mispronounced words.my ghad! huhuhu. . I had to say that.. sorry but not sorry. such a pain to actually listen to her..

Brruuu I applied Native Camp apprx 2 yrs ago but the demo lesson standard was not like this 😭😭. I assure ur way better than me when i applied and did my demo too. It only took like 10-15 mins so as others too. Ur demo conductor took a lot of minutes explaining churvalooo tho it was benificial but yaa ⏳⏱ (all just instructed before was like we should stick to script and not do some further speeches unless needed and as much as possible minimal explaination then go back to the script) bru why they keep re demoing you. You’re awesome and well articulated. Pffft
