As a resident of Dukinfield since 1970, I really enjoyed this. We first lived on Clarendon St and I was an apprentice at Teletronics, the local TV shop on King st. When I got married we moved up to Cheetham Hill Road, and I've been stuck here ever since! Thanks for the pictures, they made me nostalgic.
Lovely to see all those pics, I went to Crescent rd school, up to 1965 I lived in West Villa West St 1983-1997, then sold up and moved to Ireland, I do miss the old place.
Great to see old photos of my home town..especially a good shot of Old Chapel School as I feel there aren't many decent photos of the building..so many good memories here
My dad was born in Duckinfield 1904. Moved to Flintshire ( North Wales ) to work in John Summers steelworks with his family. Sadly no longer with us. Wonder if he would have recognised any of these places. I will have to visit one day.

I went to Old Chapel church and school.
Lovely pic of Duki town hall.... It's still a glorious building today.
Went to Old Chapel in the 70s then Cressy road.. Excellent to see old photos, and hi to all them from Dukinfield where ever you are 👊

I grew up in dukinfield....moved to Canada in1989. The Astley arms is in one of the photos. I had my first drink there when I was about 14!

I went to the Moravian junior school then served a 5 year sentence at Cressy from 1970 - 75.
