Hey guys. Friendly reminder this video was made before TOTK came out. That’s why we don’t know who it is here. This video will have a follow up so stay tuned for that!
Alright- now that tears of the kingdom is out, I think I figured it out. Seven statues- Rauru, Sonia, Mineru, Rito sage, Goron Sage, Zora sage, Gerudo sage Eighth statue- Zelda when she went back in time. No one really knew she was from the future except Sonia, Mineru, and Rauru, so eight statues were made until Rauru ordered for zelda’s to be hidden, as to not break the timeline.
Friendly reminder that Tears of the Kingdom was originally planned as DLC for Breath of the Wild, so the connections between the two can definitely exist beyond the writers coming up with stuff later.
Yea but it's more likely the DLC stuff was more just the fuse mechanics and not the story. Like I really doubt they were saving ganondorf for a DLC but it was too much for a DLC same for this mystery woman who also has the power of the triforce.
@@YOGI-kb9tg my point was that they could have started writing some of the story for the DLC and realized pretty early on that it needed to be its own game. it's not like they finished breath of the wild and THEN were like "oh wait we can make a sequel to this!"
@@beardalaxy that's possible but I really can't see that at all. The idea of putting a major plot point Into a DLC most people won't play just seems idiotic. I honestly do very much feel the DLC aspects were the fuse mechanics and not any of the story that was being made when they decided to actually make it Into a sequel.
I think that the Seven heroines could be representing the Seven Maidens from A Link To The Past. And that the two tears above are two variants of Zelda like a multiverses or alternate timeline one or an ancient Zonai from the past who need to fuse together to become Goddess Hylia and execute and banish Ganon to another dimension for life, or something like that, and each of the Seven Maidens had a different ability which when they died were crafted into seven tears and the two other ones are a result of time travel or alternate timelines. If anyone has any objections feel free to respectfully argue Also on a further note the Seven Maidens from ALTTP are supposedly descended from the Seven Sages from OOT so it would be cool to see if Mipha/Sidon Revali Yunobo/Daruk and Urbosa/Riju are descended from the Sages in OOT, but I have reason to believe that Revali was descended from Medli from Wind Waker
Hey! Just FYSA, on surround sound, your voice only comes out of the left side. You might need to set your mic input as mono, something I have to do because I have a mic running through a Scarlett. Hope this helps some.
After the games came out and we now know everything. It's fun to go back and take a look as these videos and peoples ideas of what's going on or how things may be.
The most popular theory about the eighth heroine is that it represents the eighth sage, who is Kasuto. ...And the "mysterious woman" in the trailer might just be another incarnation of Hylia in the distant past. ("Looygi Bros" have shown in their video that the Ganondorf cutscene happens over 10,000 years in the past because mount Hebra doesn't have its distinctive hole.) Don't you think all that would be more plausible? (PS: Also, nice video editing, but could you please fix your audio? It's only coming from the left earpiece.)
I think Kasuto could be a possibility but since TOTK is a direct sequel to BOTW along with the connections I’ve seen, I think that this theory is more likely. I do think she could be Hylia or maybe a parallel world Zelda such as Hilda but I think that no matter who she actually is she could be the Eighth heroine. Ganondorf being in the past is very plausible. There is much speculation about part of the game being in the past. Whether it is in the present or the past I believe that we will still encounter this Ganondorf in game and no matter where we meet him I don’t think that really affects this theory. Also thanks for letting me know about the audio. I must have recorded in mono. I’ll try to get that fixed. And thanks for the conversation too!
@@heylissen5741 in ganondorf’s cutscene from the trailer, the Hebra peak you can see behind him doesn’t have the hole/missing circular chunk, making it likely that that scene might have been in the past.
I like that theory too. That could also help explain the mirror image look the Eighth Heroine has. However, I think when she’s in the past she would be counted as the same sage who just time traveled. The “Mystery Woman” is so similar to Wild Zelda but I don’t think it is her which is why I think she is a mirrored image of Zelda. Probably as Hylia or another parallel world Zelda. I guess we’ll have to wait until TOTK comes out and see if anything changes but I really like that thought.
"All i wanna do, is figure out who's this mysterious woman, mysterious woman...all wanna do is get to be the one who sees this woman...." - my remix to Steven universe's song about giant woman
I think Zelda will learn from this sage, and build a string relationship! She seemed very emotional when holding the tear in her hand. Possibly a moment of remembrance of everything this sage taught her? The only thing that doesn't add up with my speculationn is that Zelda in the trailers seems to be in the past.
well as tears of the kingdom is out, i wanna say that the eight is actually zelda, rather than (spoiler woman name here), due to my knowledge of the story of tears of the kingdom and spoilers ahead! DO NOT READ IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SPOILED! it's 7.5 sages. the .5 comes from zelda replacing the old sage of time, through TIME TRAVEL, so the backwards "the seven" on the eighth statue is there because zelda is from a different time period than the rest of the sages. it could also be that the eighth heroine is wiped from history because the old sage of time died. though with all the zelda lore shenanigans i wanna lean to zelda being the eighth
Since the mysterious woman is kind of a mirror opposite of Zelda what if this is zelda from the realm demise is from? Demise could be thought of as an evil link with a dark master sword from a dark or demon realm. So maybe this mysterious woman is zelda from the same realm coming to return demise to the demon realm, and that could be why her tear is a mirror of zeldas
Not knowing too much about Zelda lore, i thought the misteriuos woman was a mixed Hylian & Gerudo since Gerudos were shown to interbreed with other races to keep their population or lineage.
I can see why you thought that. I had been wondering how all Gerudo stayed a separate race after thousands of years when they are all women and have children with other races. Apparently their genes are very dominate. So much so that they take over all others completely except for pointed ears it seems since those have changed from previous games. She could still be a Gerudo who dyed her hair blonde though! Maybe if she is Gerudo, the Gerudo people felt even more like they should make a statue of her.
@@heylissen5741 there is an extremely subtle precedent for gerudo children to not actually look like a typical gerudo. there are lighter skinned gerudo women in botw, which would only make sense if a gerudo had a child with a hylian. perhaps this is even something that happened over time, because i'm not aware of any other light-skinned gerudo.
Zelda went to the past, so there were 2 Zeldas. However, the less people knew about it the better because there’s a risk of creating a paradox (see HP Prisoner of Azkaban / other time travel stories.) They still wanted to honor Wild Zelda but had to be more discreet about it. This might even be why Zelda has a good relationship with Urbosa and maybe why the Gerudo swore fealty to the royal family way back in the timeline.
Even if Wild Zelda goes to the past, she would still be the same Zelda as the present one who would be in the original 7 sages so need to honor her again as the 8th heroine. The time travel could help explain the connection with the Gerudo though.
I meant if Wild Zelda goes to the past, then in the past (when the heroine statues were constructed) there were both ancient Zelda and Wild Zelda. It might be that only one of them is a sage, thus it would still be 7 sages as always. But in total there were 8 heroines as there were 2 incarnations of the sage Zelda.
I think zeldas tear let her channel the Goddess Hylia, also that 8th statue is reversed but the words are revesed because it was copy pasted to save time and the words were overlooked
@@heylissen5741 Indeed. You have me the "ah ha," moment looking back (even though this was 8 months ago and I haven't thought about the heroines in a while). It's interesting how Nintendo wants to tell the main story in the past with the cinematic scenes but then continues to telll the story and allow the player to piece it together through numerous resources and from one game go the next through the open world. Not sure it's the best way to tell a story but it works...and may be different from player to player based on choices. Certainly makes for a different lore experience. Anyhow, nice work. You're the first one I've seen make this connection before it even happened. Lol. Also, sorry for the bad spelling in my original post. It was 2am and I was dozing off.
