Controlling and/or testing of the Yacht LED Lights using the cables only
Today I want to show you how to control or test your Astel LED Light purchased from 1st-Relief GmbH. This might be useful after the installation of your lights and in advance of configuring the lights in the DMX512 network to ensure that the light is operational at all.
Another reason for carrying out such a test is that you have the light already configured and you want to cross check the light because something is not working as expected.
This control or testing of the ASTEL Lights can be carried out by using the cables only.
Test 1:
Test if the light can be switched ON and OFF
Test 2:
Test the colours of the LED light with the control wire.
The light sequence as defined by the individual light shall appear (e.g. RGB - white - bluish white - red - green - blue - rainbow colour spectrum). This is light specific, so please see also the related pages in the product manual.
Test 3:
Predefine a given light colour which shall appear every time you turn the light on.
The video refers to external controlled LED Lights from Astel with 4 and 3 wires.
