1st-Relief shows the Configuration and Programming the MXU01
www.1st-relief.com/en/brands/astel/
Configuring and programming the MXU01 from Astel Marine
Today I want to show you how to configure and program a very helpful accessory from our Partner Astel Marine. This DMX512 Interface device called MXU01 is translating the commands from a DMX Controller to the ASTEL interior, exterior or underwater lights.
The reason for sharing this in a video is that some steps in the configuration of the MXU01 are super easy once you’ve done it or you’ve seen someone doing it, compared to a self-study and try and error experience.
A side note, the explanation will work for the sister product LXU01 as well.
Out of our experience all is described in the corresponding manuals pretty well once you understand the following 3 topics:
- The meaning of the DIP Switches
- How to configure a DMX address information in the MXU01
- What is the best way to program the MXU01
Topic 1 - meaning of the DIP Switches:
Topic 2 - How to configure a DMX address information in the MXU01:
Topic 3 - What is the best way to program the MXU01:
Probably you look at our other videos about DMX Lights on Yachts in this playlist.

    What if it’s coming from the vent line? I’ve checked both main and vent line and still does this.

  • @beaniril8870
    @beaniril8870 Před 11 měsíci

    the problem is the fuel air vent. If the fuel air vent is clear then there will be no "well back or spit back". if the fuel air vent is clogged or closed then there's not enough air pressure to push fuel into the motor, it will stall on idle or while cruising. Fuel air vent prevents the tank from a vacuum state, not an absolute vacuum state but enough to prevent fuel into the motor.

    I know this is an old video I wish you would have zoomed in a little bit on that 8501 switch where it says 350 cranking amps momentarily 250 constant and you hook it up to a 750 cold cranking amp battery what's wrong with this picture great switch for solar panels and inverters I wouldn't want to look at any engine

  • @amgeezy_2709

    Looks like it backed up because he blocked the vent. Then if the valves shuts don’t you still spill the gas you’re pouring?

    • @1st-relief
      @1st-relief Před 3 lety

      Closing the valve prevents the gasoline from shooting out. Of course, if you open the tap further, the gasoline will overflow, but the uncontrolled "splash back" was prevented. And installation and price are really convincing arguments in comparison to the success of the measure. Greetings 1st-Relief www.1st-relief.com/en/perko-in-hose-inlet-check-valve-icv.html

    GREAT VIDEO... thank you!! I have only one question, if I may. In my distribution panel, on the fuse box side, I have both positive AND negative posts for my battery, along with pos and neg posts for the converter, that will recharge that battery. Since you instruct to run the common positive (3) lead back to the distribution panel.... SHOULD I also run a negative lead, from the distribution panel (fuse side) to the negative common post demonstrated above?

      Geez, I rarely do emails, these days, let alone attach images to them. heehee I can but it seems like a lot of hooplah, for a simple question. My DC distribution panel has a dedicated terminal labeled Battery Negative... Right now my house battery is connected to that terminal and also to the one labeled Battery Positive.... to use DC distribution and to be charged. Whereas your video directs us to connect both house and start battery Negative leads to a Common Neg post... along with engine negative... ... and you have a COMMON POSITIVE lead going to the distribution panel, then ... ... my simple question is should I have a lead running from the Common Negative post, which you recommend to setup, ... ... to the distribution panel terminal labeled Battery NEG? I don't see how a photo or drawing would affect the answer. The panel requires + and - battery connection. You mentioned only + panel connection.
