Beau Works Out With A Friend! - Silver Spring, MD, USA

Beau and his friend, Argos, had a solid training session. Lots of heeling (with distraction), broad jump, high jump, dumbbell, recall, command discrimination, drop on recall and then, having to sit still while we put the equipment away. Let’s just say they were MOSTLY perfect. 😁
Argos is about 2 obedience classes behind Beau but he is coming up fast, thanks to being super smart and having a knowledge trainer as his owner. He is a goofy boy who is barely a year old, so he will only get better and better. He is already learning skills for Open which will get him show-ready that much faster. That is something advocated by the greats of obedience training, like Connie Cleveland and others. Something I wish I’d done with Beau. The good news is that it is never too late to start. Now that Beau has the foundations of Open class down, I will continue to refine and proof while introducing some Utility skills. What good doggos!!!

Yes, I do try to give him lots of fun things to do. That little snippet of he and Argos cracks me up - you can see both personalities so clearly!
