Does a Full Face Helmet Inspire Confidence? | Demon Podium Helmet for Beginners

Should beginner mountain bike riders start out with a full-face helmet? I purchased the Demon Podium full-face helmet to explore if wearing a full-face helmet gives you more confidence on the trail. This video might help you decide if you should purchase a full-face helmet for mountain biking instead of a regular bike helmet. I rode with this helmet on several rides and plan to wear a full face on every ride from now on as it has many benefits over a traditional mountain bike helmet.

I am actually using this helmet for my very first electric unicycle. Question? In your opinion if for example I am a large with this helmet because I hear it may be tight in that size should I play it safe with the next size up for comfort?????

Helmets should fit snug, I would say these are true to size. If you. If you normally wear a large and that’s snug for you and you want extra space then yes go 1 size up.

If your just road cycling then yes. But at the park about half the mountain bikers there wear full face helmets.

I always wonder this too.
But then I think... as a 41 year old, father of two, with a full time job... I’d rather look dorky on the bike than have a concussion, broken tooth, scar on my face, downtime from the office...

It depends. On trial probably half the people at my local park ride full face so it’s not that out of place. If I were on a road bike perhaps it might look out of place. But they make arrow full face helmet for road cycling.
