    Sorry about the reupload on this one. I've been sick, hence the lack of videos, but I saw this info, and just had to put up a quick video. Unfortunately, I did it too quick, but thankfully, Nick over at Hybrid Network, let me know, I needed to re edit this one! Sorry about the mix up! I gotta go rest, but hopefully I'll be back fulltime soon!

    In the last of those clips it sounded like David was threatening the company with his creation, almost like his explanation was a sort of warning. Maybe the reason the company wanted an alien specimen and not the goo is to find a way to combat the creature so they can stop David.

    Of course there are more urns of the pathogen on LV_223. David said there were "many" Juggernauts there. The two Juggernauts we saw both had different versions of the pathogen onboard. There were at least 5 temples in a line that we could see in the area the Prometheus landed with presumably one Juggernaut beneath each of them. The first Juggernaut we saw loaded with pathogen was the first in the line. David and Shaw appeared to take the Juggernaut from the second temple, meaning there are likely at least three more Juggernauts in that area with a cargo of pathogen. The first two Juggernauts had different formulations of the pathogen that achieved different results. The other three temples may also have different variations of it.
    I do like the direction given in this viral bit, but it should have been in the movie. This bit of reveal would have made Fox more money at the box office, because it would have made it a better film.
    However, the derelict and Jockey cannot cleanly fit into Davids timeline. Its been believed for 40 years now that they are ancient. They should be confirmed to be so so that the mystique around the Jockey & derelict can be preserved.
    I like a direction where Davids addition of the queen and hive mind to the species is actually a repair made to qualities that were, through ancient experimentations by the Engineers, removed from the species' ancient original breed, (which originally did have a queen and a hive mind) whom had terrorized the galaxy (and the engineers) long ago. Fighting for their life and the existence of life in the universe, the Engineers were able to drive the creatures to near extinction and instead of erradicating them they broke down the aliens structure and eliminated the queen and hive mind functions to reduce the creatures overwhelmingly devastating efficiency and destructiveness. Reducing the species to wild individuals that could be more controlled for the Engineers ancient, sacrificial practices.
    Remnants of that original, pure ancient terror are what the nostromo found on the long lost derelict and David's experimentations have recreated an eerily similar creature to the original Xeno that terrorized the galaxy so long ago. With some enhancements.
    This preserves the derelict & Jockey's mysterious legacy and allows David to do his thing without "damaging" the franchise, so to speak.

    Yes. It fits incredibly well. In the end the black goo was nothing more than a form of nanotechnology, only with a biological nature.
    Also it does raises a lot of questions. Like... "What were the engineers really hoping to achieve?", "How come in Prometheus, in the room with the huge head, the murals depicted a xenomorph and there was even that egg thing on that pedestal?", "Were the xenomorphs we know about a result of David's experiments? Because in the end that clashes with what we've seen in AVP".
    Also if the black goo possesses some degree of artificial intelligence, then why did the engineers in Prometheus seemingly lost control of it.
    And finally. What the hell happens to the Aliens themselves. I mean. David basically unleashed the entire payload of the black goo on Paradise, but when the Covenant crew arrives there. There were no lifeforms. Not a single alien. The crew had to get infected in order to even be a Alien.
    Which raises the question... "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ALIENS?"
    Did they simply died out? Or, because they are a result of a biological AI, that same AI, when it has no more genetic material to work with, it simply, gathers all the Aliens, and then proceeds to transform them into something else.
    Maybe a kind of biological living Alien being that can travel off that world in search of others. Where the AI can continue to assimilate and adapt new genetic material.
    It's quite fascinating.
    Problem being that Ridley Scott is not really addressing any of this.
    He wastes entires movies raising questions and not really explaining anything.
    When will Scott stop and actually explain something. Just so we can stop with all these theories and get some hard facts.

      Question no. 1 :
      As shown in more detailed the script of Prometheus, at some point where David talked with Wayland of how things progress on after the crew landed on LV-226 and after scanning and overviewed the alien pyramid (extra information about that alien murals and engineers evolution cycle in the script) in which David translated to be something related to their late history where the Engineers lost their reproductive organs and they tried experimenting on the black goo in order to fix that by a process called “reverse engineering” , a process which was preceded by xenomorphs experiments in first place , and afterwards evolving to the black goo matter according to the unused murals designs (although in the interviews Ridley Scott said that the black goo will explain how xenomorphs come to existence, but in the script of Prometheus is vice versa such as the Engineers obtained the black goo after experimenting with the Xenomorphs also because that might represented a solution to their problem of loosing their genitalia - Easter egg - Necronom 4 by H.R. Giger a porn xeno art book , the initial late era of Engineers sexual times dedicated to combining hedonism and deus ex machina pagan practices on extreme level)

    • @vh-ali_n-teen
      @vh-ali_n-teen Před 4 lety

      Question no. 2 :
      Ridley Scott said on interview that the Deacon Alien is the very first alien xenomorph that Engineers first encountered by popping of one engineer chest , so they dedicated a mural to that as reminder . And from here on the engineers start to develop a whole science regarding the xenomorphs of how to solve their “problems” by experimenting on xeno technology which resulted with black goo ( a possible inspiration for the concept of the black goo that could be the Royal Jelly/Xeno Zip pharmaceutics from the Alien comic lines , in which Weyland corp obtained this substance from the Queen Alien or Mother Queen Alien which in it’s essence is a natural stabilizing substance secreted by Alien Queen when she give birth to alien facehuggers eggs 🍳 , and weyland learn how to convert that royal jelly into mutagenic serum alike that mutagenic green ooze of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in which gives a superhero strength or mutant appearance to the user who inhaled it .

    • @vh-ali_n-teen
      @vh-ali_n-teen Před 4 lety

      Question no.3 :
      Most likely David is NOT the inventor of aliens because in the scripts of Prometheus timeline is stated a number of years which is 50 years after the Alien 1 initial timeline, so pretty much Ridley Scott said on a interview on magazine that Prometheus is the prequel of Alien 1 but is in contradiction with the official script timeline of Prometheus, so in conclusion David the Android is somehow very important for the design and creation of xenomorphs the same as an inventor who makes 2 genius discoveries “the hot water” and “the pedestrian walk” (useless , almost alike you telling me that actually it’s you who invented the internet a 100 years ago but you kept the secret all for yourself and now you wanna confess everything how it’s happened back then in the days and how make it possible)

    • @vh-ali_n-teen
      @vh-ali_n-teen Před 4 lety

      About that clash with the AVP storyline in contrast with the Prometheus/Covenant storyline , first of all Ridley Scott and Damon Lindelöf magazine interviews about Prometheus and Covenant storylines clashes with both movies scripts (which represents the full plot of those movies , which contains unused lines such as David experimenting with the black goo firstly on 2 dead mice in which one exploded because he was injected with half of a syringe of black goo and the other one mutated because it was sprayed on him instead with the half remained black goo syringe 💉 and after that then David tried a drop of black goo in Holloway glass of champaign for example ).
      So the bad conjunction between AvP background and Prometheus/Covenant background is not the maximum goofy job of Ridley and Lindelöf funny Mother goose club playing around .

      The paradise planet xenomorphic repercussions aftermath the missing mutations after David strike that planet with the ampules of black goo .... well i remember seeing a video of croft talks on his CZcams channel about this subject of the black goo ampules bombardment on Paradise planet by David , he (Croft) concluded that the quantity of the black goo was way to much in order to activate the black goo’s mutagenic or exploding properties of those exposed to that and because of that the engineers on that planet wore pretty much tossed by the pathogen instead with no mutagenesis value or the xenomorph gene altering which resulted in microscopic independent xenoes effects of the sacrificial Engineer in Covenant intro which also represents how the engineers obtained the artificial intelligence based black goo , how they fill their ampules from (sacrificial Engineer).
      But remember how the first xeno infection in Covenant happen when one of the landed crew inhaled a rogue small and tiny spore of black goo , so basically the Paradise planet was “tossed” or burned effect by black goo because the quantity David used was too big , the animals maybe (if they wore any) and the inhabitants peoples of Paradise planet died out by being tossed/burned/dried out/fossilized by a blackening side effect of the black goo used in large quantities and the only survivors of this planet wore in fact the Flora , the plants and trees somehow resilient ,auto repairable and immune/less critical affected by the black goo toss but also in the same time are carrier/pandemic helper of the black goo rogue spores/micro xenomorphs .

    Interesting: DNA is itself a sort of potential AI blueprint- with links to the small scale workings of cells so maybe down to the nano level too- we have a long way to go to understanding it, but I've always thought it could be even more than we think- common belief is that adaptations are random, mere chance, that good adaptations are therefore just 'getting lucky', not pre-planned. But the aye aye's finger has always bugged me in this respect- it seems TOO lucky, TOO specialized- like there was some prior logic ('this will be useful') involved. It's way too complex to have thought about much, and I've got way too much other day to day stuff to think about so I've not explored this much but I have thought- what if DNA can capture information from the life lived from it? A kind of AI adaptation/ data storage aspect to DNA. A blueprint that can be slightly revised by a life for the one it may create. So maybe there are multiple ways genes can mutate- the negatives such as adverse conditions harming the 'parent' DNA or others such as this 'intelligent adaptation'. One of those things I wish I could delve into more as so many questions, and quite a few problems such as the flaw in the logic that then surely there would be less endangered species as they'd all be using this to build this 'survival learning' into their DNA, although perhaps as with 'real' memory and data storage it is the most fragile, although species can be pretty resiliant.
    With the aye aye finger I've pondered did the learning of the creature- its actual life it had experienced- get catalogued in its DNA somehow (hey, a long finger would be really useful...)
    I know this may be a bit far fetched but the randomness theory for me is flawed- to get these specific benefits through purely random factors surely even in short time periods there would be way more variety in species as to get results so specialized by chance surely you'd need millions if not billions of variables, hence it seems slightly at odds with the fact most new humans mostly resemble other humans, most new cats mostly resemble other cats, what I'm saying is I don't see enough major variation to suggest some of these very specialized adaptations being totally chance (remember they've also got to happen often enough that those deviations become the norm), so could DNA be very much like a computer program and one that has, to whatever degree, also perhaps some capacity to learn and intelligently work on its adaptations? After all it IS very much like a computer program (including the specific blueprints within this) that tells a new being to form the required limbs, eyes, etc, and how to position them, their colour.....but computer programs can vary a lot- they can be databases, reactive or fixed etc, so just how complex- and perhaps clever- could our (and other species', which we are told is incredibly similar) DNA be?
    If it can have an aspect of learning/memory/passing on some key 'survival/life knowledge' then things like the aye aye's finger become less of a lucky dip, and rather than just amazingly by chance being gifted with this adaptation, it being something they effectively self-engineered, the DNA knew the problem it had to solve, maybe it's not too far fetched for brain and DNA to be able to work together. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aye-aye
    Will leave that there as it's already in the realms of 'needs much more thought' so how does it relate to the alien black goo?
    In many ways: theories or fact there may be viruses with MORE dna data than even us humans, theories that viruses and even our cells may have evolved from using, you could even say stealing, 'data' from those of other organisms, the suggestion from the dna similarities that all life even viruses is a closer family than we may often assume, is black goo a representation of the void of space before it formed into something as well as of the genetic potential of something to form into, well, pretty much anything..., perhaps both everything and nothing could truly be called 'alien' if DNA is like this post- like the words of this post it could describe anything, somebody else could take the ideas of a post like this and evolve them into a more fleshed out answer, somewhere in the chain a new idea or insight could join up some of the dots. DNA is a lot like the words I'm typing, which could describe that aye aye in great detail, enough detail and it would be enough to actually make it..... so I think the themes include quite deeply considered looks at creation-or-making-an-entity themes (which are non-specific, neither religious/science-based/whatever- with the AI and synthetics aspect you've got technology/computing too, so you can have the creator as whatever you want to see it as, or any combination thereof) but in terms of is the creation a monster or a thing of value (note the times the aliens have been admired or the humans viewed with disdain, which is an intentional blurring of the lines) but also many themes of the whats/whys and other thematic aspects of that - a take on a variation of the profound questions one might ask of DNA, how/ why etc....
    There's an interesting comment below about the white blood of the synthetics and the red blood of humans - there's also the acidic blood of the aliens- versus the black goo, is the black goo the lifeblood behind all these (look at the finger image at 2:45 too- it's very much like blood on a pinprick which I'm sure is deliberate, the black goo where the blood would be, plus look at the - I feel very significantly emphasised - fingerprint, I'm sure these are intentionally juxtaposed, the black goo being a genetic fingerprint, but maybe emphasising its mutability- is that not a 'WY' logo within the fingerprint also?), the priomordial ooze indeed....
    Sorry that's a bit of a chaotic mess of ideas very much like the contents of the black goo itself, it's really hard to document such complex thinking quickly, so it tends to come out a bit like badly made scrambled eggs, with a lot of shell in!

    I'd say that it was probably an experimental tool for studying and creating organic technology, then a massive cultural shift hit the engineers that caused them to praise it religiously despite it's chaotic nature. Remember how they would prune species that deviated from their original designs? It simply doesn't make sense to use such a chaotic tool if they actually remembered how to make it, and thus alter it.

      The idea Behind the engineers using the Black goo was specified in the script but not adapted in the in film of either covenant or Prometheus , in which engineers tried long ago in their late history (and that’s mean Nocronom IV as concept for Engineers sexual era)a biological process interpreted as “reverse engineering” in order to recover their lost “gift” stripped by gods , their genitals organs .
