Thank you ☺️
Wode mayaaaaaaaaa ❤️🥰
Please watch 8 videos of JIM NDURUCHI! WHEN WILL YOU REPORT ON JIGGER VICTIMS IN KENYA?
Hey, Wode Maya!!
I love this, learning African dancing! ❤️❤️❤️
What I love most of all about Africa is the tradition and culture!!! Thank you for sharing❤️ U look so amazing!!!!❤️❤️
When I see things like this I just know that Africa has influenced the world and that Africans are all connected. The Asians and Pacific islanders do so many of the same things in their culture. But yet some has forgotten. However, the Hawaiians and some Pacific islanders have oral stories about going back to Africa for help when needed.
I just love this sis!!!
"This, so very, very, good. "Wonderful, wonderful, job.😀.
You look absolutely beautiful in the traditional wear. So beautiful. A queen. 😍 I love that you joined them. You danced gracefully. You did well.
Thank you 😊
I can see all the descendants dances in these traditional dances. I see the old dances that slaves use to do and some natives do in the Americas that is so similar. It just amazes me.
Those talking drums are speaking to me 🥰🥰🥰
Gwaaaaan my sister you really turned up. When you heard the drum beats the shyness got dashed into the bush.
I'm a Ga and have always loved Kpanlogo.
Definitely a good idea for Vivie to promote African dance lessons.
Loved the history to each dance, such joy to watch traditional dancing. My favourite episode this season xxxxx
I would love it if everyone would like and share this video for me. Lets spread the LOVE and Beauty of Africa.
Also, don't forget to check out Vivies Dance factory for more on traditional drumming and dance.
I totally did not expect this. What a beautiful video about our culture. The dance, drums and the clothing was so amazing.
Dela is so smart, she took the tribal comments from her previous videos and make series about tribes. this video deserve a million view. Lovely

Natural Ghana Girl are you on Facebook?
this is such an amazing video to have put together so thank u
🤎🤎🤌🏾🤌🏾
The ASANTES adua is not really a dance.. is a way of communicating to the people and the leaders.. They move their hands to speak and i understand a few hand moves meaning.. The drums also speak to the people and the dancers that’s why it’s called the talking drum
It's kete rather
you are now utilizing your full potentials on youtube.
This was EXCELLENT AND INFORMATIVE 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🤩

The music from Ga people sounds like my favorite ewe music called Akpesse or borborbor.

This was so interesting and enjoyable to watch. I feel as if I’ve done many of these dances already, especially growing up in the 90s, but there’s just something about hearing drums to it that make dancing even more special. Thank you for taking me back 😍😊

4:29 adowa dance by Ashante.cool
Woooow Dela, you've really outdone yourself. Your "shawele" was lovely. I could see you were really getting into the spirit of it moving your shoulders and all. And your cloth was lovely too. In fact everyone's cloth was just beautiful. This whole video was beautifully shot. I actually teared up. Well done
Aww thank you. It was deep for me too. Very emotional watching them dance.
@@moretodela 😊💕 so now we have to give you your dance card back. Your daughter will be queen of hiphop dance, and you'll be queen of agbadza & kpanlogo😂
Finally! Someone is acknowledging me for my dance skills. I will definitely take that card back and then some 😂😊✌🏾

Great dance moves 🎶👏👌
Haha I tried...very hard not to embarrass myself
Yi yi yi yi yi ❤️😁🔥your dance moves were fire 🔥.
And yes it was a surprise to me too
I loved this video from the beginning to the end 😁❤️
Thank you
Yuh shaking! haha! Ah like it. Like yur outfit too!
ALL RIGHT DELA! READY FOR "SOUL TRAIN" LINE!
MENTION TOO THAT AFRICAN DANCES WERE NOT FOR SPECIALISTS, BUT EVOLVED FOR THE WHOLE COMMUNITY TO DO TOGETHER. WESTERN EYES OFTEN LOOK FOR A SOLOIST MUTANT SPECIALIST, WHEN THE REAL BEAUTY IS TO SEE 100'S OF WOMEN AND MEN IN PERFECT SYNCH, DANCING AS ONE COMMUNAL COLLECTIVE. AND THAT IS MORE DIFFICULT THAN ONE OR A FEW BALLERINA'S ALONE!
GREAT VIDEO.
Courtney Art hello
I love this video severely.
Trevor Prime hello
Great content, and almost a documentary.
Thank you
10:36 Agbaghza war dance of the Ewes. cool.
Hey Dela, you've really stepped up with the videography (if that's a word) in this one. Great intro, well done girl 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.
Another great video ❤
I have a great videographer who really helps me out. And yes videography is a real word 😉
The oral traditions are often quite difficult to articulate but i really appreciated that it was made clear there are variations of the origins of these glorious dances.
I guess different versions come about as stories are embellished or misinterpreted.
Maybe it is an idea to rehearse replies, if time permits, before starting interviews.
In regard to the Adowa dance, the name comes from the Royal Antelope, a very gracious small and adorable ungulate.
İt is said one had been captured to offer as a sacrifice. As it was held the captors noticed it started jumping about as if dancing. And this movement was imitated in to an elaborate dance. I am afraid i cant recall the fate of the antelope though.
But if you see a good adowa dancer and are familiar with the movement of the royal antelope it will become apparent that there is truth in this version. It is as if the dancer has become possessed by such a creature.
This expressive dance has been enhanced by beautiful gestures of the hands which are full of symbolism and meaning.
İs Agbadza related to the Hɔgbɛtʃotʃo ?
Because i am sure that is where i have heard this story of walking backwards to disguise or cover up footsteps ?
For Bamaya i heard that the men disguised themselves as women because otherwise their supplications as males (probably because they were fighters) would not have been accepted.
This my non-Ghanaian sister is really bringing Ghana to the forefront ooh! Mawu ne yra wo; esia? 👌
🙏🏾
Dela seriously you’re looking so damn nice
☺️ Thank you
Hello
Great vid. I wish they would have explained the hand movements (adua) question that you asked a bit better. Didn’t really explain
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿yooooooooo! This clip got me triiiiiiiiiiping. C’est magnifique. Wow 😯 je suis impressionné. Dela this was brilliant, I shall try and link up with Vivian. Some lessons for adults 🧑 will be nice 👍🏿. May I ask a rude question? Please do not judge me, one of the women dancers 💃 or the main woman dancer, was there extra padding? There! I have asked. The traditional outfits were really chic
Haha, yes as part of the dance they put extra padding on the bum. I’m not sure of the reason behind it though. Glad you liked the video.😊
Point of correction, Adowa is an Akan dance which originated from Akwamu but not Asante
What about the Fante Apatampa?
Where are they located?
What about kpanlogo dance?
Is Dagomba, the whole land and territory is Dagbon
I’m not sure, to be fair my knowledge is pretty limited right now.
@@moretodela we are proud of u,you even will get distintion if you go into contest with some indegins
Your your story about how the dance came in to bring is perfect, in Dagbanli the meaning of the name baba Maya means, the dry rivers are wet.
Pls where can l contact them
You can contact Vivies Dance Factory. They have a Facebook page and are on Instagram too.
Antelopes dont eat ants
I know that now 😂
Natural Ghana Girl Anteater?
Hello my sister you know where can I find a cheap apartment to rent for 2 month please
Did you say antelope was " the one who eats ants"??
I laughed so hard when I heard her say that 😂
The good thing is that when I makes mistakes you guys never miss them so it’s always educational for me. I obviously didn’t listen in school. Thank you😂😂😂.
@@moretodela Dela you know we love you ,you’re so funny and a joy to watch
@@moretodela I thought you were taking the mick at first 🤣
Lol nope. 😂😂😂 I think I was thinking about the ant eater when I said it...who knows. At least I made you chuckle this morning.
