White House Parent Briefing: Formula Update & Vaccines For Kids Under 5

On June 16th, Scary Mommy collaborated with the White House on the first-ever parent briefing with a focus on the formula crisis and vaccines for kids under age 5. Held in the White House Press Briefing Room with Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at the helm, a group of parent creators had an opportunity to speak directly with the administration about two of the most pressing issues facing families. Admiral Rachel L. Levine, MD took questions on best practices for navigating the infant formula shortage. Ashish Jha, MD White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator responded to questions about the newly authorized vaccine for children under age 5. It was a historic moment for moms, for families and for the future as officials actively sought to work hand-in-hand with the parenting community to disseminate the latest facts and clarify misinformation.
