Between the events of Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith and Episode 4 A New Hope, the Empire continues hunting down force-sensitive children as part of the Jedi purge. Kora and her force sensitive son are running out of options as Imperial forces close in around them. There are rumors, however, of a mysterious traveler living in the Underworld of Coruscant... A Jedi Master who used to be known as Mace Windu. Kora needs his help to save her son.

This is the perfect send off for the character of Windu because in the movies he was a powerful master who would save lives but he was also arrogant and rash but not in the obiwan toung and cheek joker way in the dangerous leads to the dark side way him forgiving Anakin for what he did and finally acknowledging him as the chosen one and as the person who he didn’t see him to be, instead of what he and the council made him into is the perfect growth for him and death for him and a key moment in Vader realizing he doesn’t have to be like sideous
But we still don’t grant Anakin the rank of master.

Holy dang that was incredible! The animation for the mouths and movement was incredibly clean! I loved Windu’s stand-off against Boba Fett and him and Vader’s battle was awesome!! 10/10 in my book!
This perfectly illustrates what happened to Windu after Order 66, with him being cursed and eventually healed with what he did with Anakin. If that video isn’t a good enough explanation for you, I don’t know what is. Nicely done, and this should definitely be canon for sure.

Everything from animation to effects to scenery to story is absolutely beautiful
This is truly amazing. The story and dialogue is great, set and character design fantastic, voice acting on spot and the lighting with the cinematography! Just wow. My favourite shot was Windu walking through the street. Maybe next time change lences in some shots. It sometimes felt the characters were to distant and blury (first dialogue with Mace and Mother) I wished this video would never end. Great job! You have a new subscriber.

This was an interesting take on the character of Mace Windu. Totally had the feels when he said Anakins name and forgave him. Usually when I here people talk about mace surviving it just comes off as too forced but this felt so smooth. I’m pretty sure this is the first video I’ve seen from you and I’m definitely subscribing for more. Keep on the great work!

I think now is a good time to tell you that I was very skeptical of this film from the start. As I said to you before, while I fully support the freedom of the creator to try whatever it is they want, I always had a strong preference to the imaginative writing of your LEGO Motel series, and that your other content wasn't as much my cup of tea personally while I respected it. I love you man, but you cast a wide net in terms of your content and not all of it hits the same for me. It seemed from what you would share about the film that it would be a crowd-pleasing action based film with a focus on nostalgic characters and cramming in as much as possible, attributes I personally am usually not a fan of.
At best, I expected Windu to be an overstuffed but well made brickfilm that I could respect without necessarily being personally invested in the creative direction. I was not anticipating a legitimate piece of art I will undoubtedly revisit constantly in the future. This is BY FAR my favorite thing you've made, like it blows even the smartest LEGO Motel episodes out of the water.
The characters and themes are fleshed out and work wonderfully. Cora and her son aren't a means to an end, they are arguably the main characters of this story and I love that. At no point did anything feel obligatory, I could see the pure passion behind a story you genuinely believed in.
I'd go as far as to say that this is one of the best brickfilms ever made, like top ten for me for sure. And rest assured I don't say that lightly because I'm usually a man of the classics when it comes to this genre.
What makes the film work as well as it does is that it utilizes the Star Wars universe as much as it needs to while still pushing forward with original themes, style, and character. Circling back to my early skepticism, privately I was worried about the film knowing that Yoda, Boba Fett, Darth Vader, The Emperor, Kuill's brother, and Mustafar would be involved. It seemed gratuitous to me to have so much "Star War" in this Star Wars story on paper. Fortunately, I was wrong about these elements, as every single thing that could have very easily passed off as fan service ended up been a factor to the film's emotional heights. Boba Fett in particular surprised me as a character who actually furthered the themes despite my belief that he adds very little to Star Wars on paper. Having the Ugnauht by related to Kuill might have been the one thing that came off as gratuitous to me, but that's literally the only negative thing I thought about this film and it's such an inconsequential detail that it doesn't bother me.
It goes without saying that the lighting and animation are gorgeous, mixing both vibrant colors and a bleak atmosphere. I have very little to say on this regard other than the fact that it's all perfect.
I hope you can relax knowing that your work has paid off in one of the best brickfilms ever made.
