To add to the 'blunt weapons crowd' - when you're clearing a hideout, if you 1v1 the bandit leader at the end, all his bodyguards will become your prisoners if you win, so that's ~5 bandit units guaranteed.
You also can smack him with a blunt weapon to get him too, and some bandit leaders are a decent addition to the party.
I’ve tried it and it works very well! Got multiple high tier boss and chief troops!

I will never understand the roguery hate. Every single playthrough I gotta put my foot down and make sure I dont hyperfocus them. Every battanian, sturgian and Kuzait playthrough I've ever done was a max cunning rogue superscout tactician. Those three traits form the bedrock of a pillager playstyle

@@animewarrior3 oh absolutely but why not spec into roguery for village raiding. It can boost profits so damn much, plus roguery has a lot of infantry centric buffs so it's perfect for my Sturgian gameplay, I just make 1 massive blob of heavy spearmen and axemen, form a shield wall and send it straight at them. Come hell or high water those boys are making it to their target 🤣
Whenever you want to make a bandit empire I recommend using a blunt weapon and the weapon you need is a sledgehammer because it can make a full blunt damage and can knock people onto the ground and you can only injured them and later you can recruit them into your bandit army

I know it's a bit late, but for the future, blunt weapons are far more effective in knocking enemies out, instead of killing them.

If you dont ride a horse everywhere you gain mobility and do everything faster.
the fourberie mode is so cool for this i just hate how your rep with bandit fsctions drops when u fight them like how else do you get bandit recruits other than prisoners

First time i played bannerlord.
I got out of the tutorial, got ambushed by like 50 bandits w/more right next to my first fight.
By the time i was defeated, there were less than 10.
What version you playing on?
One thing I hate about bannerlord is the nerf on raiding
