The world needs more of African content. Folks are so much more fun, their clothes and accessories are just amazing.
and they look up for eachother
African family feud so entertaining full of culture to learn
So tru
I'm Jamaican and we call the room divider a 'whatnot'. I just love seeing the similarities and differences in cultures.
I'm African American (southerner) we call mini statues "whatnots"
You mean yuh whatnot or yuh what's it not? Lol ...I think there's a ja song to that too. Similar practices- yet diverse culture n diverse names
Jamaican people are original people from Gambia here in Africa your bantu people
No disrespect meant at all to you Shaniek ,
You are so very beautiful .
Crazy cute !!!!
Wow
Shaniek parker
Love you. So how can i get u.
As an African I’m blessed to see this different African cultures on tv, it’s makes me so proud and I feel so good about it😍
It's kinda weird to call it "Family Feud Africa" but it's just South Africa.
In the past black people's houses used to be small so the kitchen and the living room used to be one big room. So they used a cupboard/cabinet (room divider) to separate the living room and kitchen. The room divider faces the living room (hence the decorations) and behind it, it would be a kitchen. I think that's where the name 'room divider' came from.
They still do have such, those efficiency apartments and some one bedrooms apartment
The west took that design from you and called it *"OPEN PLAN"*
@@expatbiker6598 😂
Wow.Never knew.🙏
@@expatbiker6598 West at it's "best".
How this much of genius/proffesionals High educated people exist in the same family ?Yeahhhhhh Africa 😍
ONLY IN AFRICA ❤️❤️
I love this South African family feud!!
I like that the questions aren’t always sexual, like it has become in the US.
I remember I once drank grape juice in one of my granny’s fine china and washed it after, made sure it was spotless homegirl noticed somehow that it was used 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂 homegirl
@lol, they noticed when these fine china tea cup's are moved touch and drank out of
But you have me laughing, when you say, "Home Girl" noticed, lol
it's the HOMEGIRL fuh-me
... hahhaha
? answer no dust in it or on it..
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have been binge-watching Family Feud Africa for a few hours now and I really enjoy it more than the US version. I'm really learning a lot about the richness of African culture and it seems that Steve is really enjoying himself here.
Oh God, south africa is awesome, worldcup 2010, and now family fued... So lovely, greetings from indonesia 😎
I haven't watched all the episodes, but I hope Steve highlights the professionalism, education, and beauty of our African brothers and sisters!🤩
I really love Africa and the different ethnic groupings. I am fascinated with the cultures. I am equally happy that they survived despite invasions and colonialism.
We are gods people. U cannot kill us. We will survive. Even if we are hurting.
Our ancestors insisted we keep practicing our customs, culture, traditions and pass them on to next generations. They literally remind us of who we are constantly.
Exactly
Just to say that these cultures are from South Africa not Africa. Africa is a continent. These cultures are mainly from the COUNTRY South Africa.
@@twigsccb I am aware that Africa is a continent, thus why I clarified with saying ethnic groupings. Knowing that one country may have many different cultures, languages which are influence by different ethnic backgrounds.
Thanks just the same. 😊 I love Africa, not only South Africa. Thus my expression.
African parents know how to give their kids education at all cost
this week we have bright people, venda's never disappoint and the swati's did good!!!!
Is this still running? CoViD-19 disturbed a lot of things
Nice people clothes very lovely. Everyone have such beautiful skin. Clean cut.
I really love these South African Family Feuds! I love the glimpse into another culture
Love the costume beautiful we Jamaican love the African our ancestors
It’s not costume it’s traditional clothes, much love 🇰🇪
Nothing better then hearing them along with Steve saying YEEEEEEEESSS🔥🔥🔥💯💯🔥🔥🔥
Steve. Leave our parent's room dividers alone‼️😂🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
- room divider doesn't divide the room
- keys that don't open anything
- gold ornaments called brass, that are not made of gold
- cups and plates that work only as ornaments
- the flowers are fake too
The mind boggles!
Fake level: Kardashians
Room decider actually devides the kitchen and dining room
Lol back in the day our grannies were poor
The key trophy was the best thing in my time. Parents gave it to their kids for achieving good manners ie for being a virgin, not drinking alcohol, for completing high school, not having a baby or a boyfriend. So they would do a party for you to celebrate your good manners. And then they would give you a real key for the house so it means your curfew is no longer earlier and it can be late and you can use your own key to open for yourself.
Hope there will be Family Feud Asia and South America! FF Africa is so entertaining! ♥️
I hope so too. It would be fun
Yes that would be so fun!
Would probably have to be another host. Steve wants to expand to other African countries so lives 8 months in SA and 4 in US
🤣🤣,in Kenya it's a wall unit,I love how they represent their culture
Well, here a wall unit is attached to the wall.
I hope he comes to Kenya

On every room divider back in the day:The Dog statue and The 3 Elephants
I thought it was only in black families. At my parents house we still have them three Elephants, three Dogs and three Rusters, And it is always a big one and two small ones
@@mulisamatshikiri8704 oh yes the 3 birds as well😂. Oh and I'm black. Just trying to remain anonymous in these internet streets😅

The African version of Family Feud more fun to watch than the American one . Hence uncle Steve has the multiples of it running in Africa!! Ghana, South Africa etc !!!!
uTayo, wena, i had no idea he had it in ghana too. interesting.
I get emotional seeing other African countries 🇬🇭
The introduction bring tears to my eyes! I don't know why.
I'm hooked to this stuff now I can't stop watching. haha. All the families are awesome!
Love 💕 from Togo West Africa
I love watching my people, their cultures, expressions, etc....ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! #LoveMyPeople 💯
Steve Harvey in Africa is epic!🤣🤣🤣
I love noticing and learning differences between different cultures, a room divider as they call it in their culture is a TV shelf cabinet wall mounted in other cultures, but I can understand the definition of the name "room divider" what it means for them. I think they call it metaphorically that way, because they divide the space in it together with all family members. For example: any member of the family have different memories in their life or different achievements or different objects ( souvenirs ) they got in life, and so they all display their memorable things in the space of the TV shelf cabinet wall mounted, or room divider because they divide it's space all together. I think it makes sense as much as makes sense a room divider of a different culture. Room divider in other culture it is not called metaphorically but it is called in the direct sense, meaning the real sense of the word room and divide.
@@veroe2407 lol 😅😅 thanks Mr. Norway dude....what's wrong with my picture bro 😂😂 don't get freaked out, i don't bite!
In Kenya we call it a wall cabinet and we place all the stuff our brothers down south place from the tv,to the china and cups that u can't touch unless you are a guest.
Alternatively the room divider is called a " wall unit "
Wall unit is smaller than room divider - from my mom's dictionary. Wall unit is halfway between tv stand and room divider. It doesnt have the glassy-door-top part of a room divider..
@@portiaphiri2682 lol at home the small one is called a side board.
@@sindisiwezwane9414 true! Sybhot! As they mention it non-englishically 😊
Now I get it. Lol.
Nah, those are different man. 😂🤣
Room divider actually divid the sitting room and dinner with a 3 meter space. That plates and cups part is right. 😂 you can't use or touch them haha 🇳🇬
I know that's right
They are for the visitors 😅, if you brake them you are dead🤣🤣
True! Only for special occasions and visitors.
🤣🤣 the "start by mmmm" got me rolling on the floor
Awkward 😂😂😂😂😂😂. That greeting though
I was covering my eyes hey! lol
🤣🤣🤣 It was just an intro guys come on. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 It's a situation of the thing you rehearsed didn't come out the way you rehearsed it.

Beautiful clothing. Yes. Support your indigenous textiles!
A room divider is also called WALL UNIT
😄😄
I love Family Fued Africa, especially the SA families w/ their traditional attires. When they do Celebrity FF Africa I pray they have Ladysmith Black Mambazo or Young Mbazo on the show
Mgcina about broke my tongue as well! Poor Steve 😂😂😂
Don't worry Steve, we just call it a "divider" in the Caribbean.
Oh!!! A room divider!! In Kenya we call that a wall unit!! Was confused for a bit then they started mentioning the stuff that goes in it...hahaha!
Hata nilishangaa. Eti room divider🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yenye iko na sahani za wageni😂😂😂😂😂🇰🇪
I was so confused until I got to your comment 😂😂 Hujui vile umesaidia lol, ati room divider, how interesting that it's a wall unit lol
@@sophieatieno5148 aki hata mimi hii comment imeniokoa🤣🤣
Wow...grew up with a wall divider with everything on the answer board on it including doilies my grandma and mom made! Memories.
I can understand why they're calling it a room divider, because it doesn't provide the room that's in the room-- but instead, it provides space for things that will divide the room. ;)
Steve is right, its a shelve/cupboard as what the answers suggested it is. Im also puzzled with the used of the word room divider.😊🇵🇭
@@nelsonbeltran9720 it originally devided the room to provide different sections of the house.
Oh my uncle Steve you are something else we love you uncle Steve 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love understanding different cultures 😍🥰🥰... Steve definitely having hard time pronouncing their names 😅...
The room divider is actually like a shelf🤣🤣.... We had it in our sitting room back then! This brings back so much memories!!!😊😍🔥 Like the day I broke a teacup that was part of the untouchable cups and plates!😂
its very much 9ja .lmao !
Lol, we tried😜😂😅
Yes . This was funny .
Porcelain dogs are legendary room divider items, I am surprised they were not on the list. 🤠
Perhaps they come under strange ornaments lol

Love the room divider episode.
Owh Dzeliwe, dressed nice my queen . You've well represented us Swati.
South African family feud is more interesting than American. love from Ethiopia
Mona family rocks🤣
The room divider is an entertainment center in the living room. 😂
I have never laughed harder than I have ever in my 46 years love this
1. What's up with how the stage is set up?
2. I absolutely love the awesome display of South African cultures!
3. When I think of a room divider the picture I have in my mind is of a china cabinet sort of thing.
1. Social distancing because of that pandemic thing.
Ny is the same pronounce in my tribe in Nigeria. Rome divider can be used to divid room. We call it room divider , my parents used it to divid room in does days. My father used it to divid the dining and pallure.
Given what is kept in a room divider in SA the Jamaican equivalent it actually two separate types of furniture - A "whatnot (TV, Radio, flowers and random ornaments) and a "breaksfront" (A display cabinet, it's always locked 🔒 and it houses your mom's best glassware, fine China, plate sets and crystals.) Most of which have never been used. 😂
I figured it out, we call it a wall unit in East Africa 😂
Yes
Ghana is room divider too
My grandparents, Jamaicans, called it a "buffet" back in their day. 🇯🇲
Expecially when they said cups you can't use "usually they are for the visitors"🤣
Alternatively, in SA we call it that too
What a beautiful man...
💘😻😘 So true
I'm in love 🥰 😍 ❤ with my brothers and sisters over there in Africa love from Chattanooga Tn
The name come from the olden days where a family of more than 8 people stayed in a single room, they use a room divider to divide( partition) a room so it can have 2 different rooms
Steve we call it an entertainment center or shelves in America. We have exactly what they have on theirs on ours in black homes.
It’s interesting to learn different clotures . Steve is still funny. Never loose your humor Steve.
Ahloba MaSwati ❤️
😂😂😂Nah we used to devide the rooms with it before...
What we normally call a "Room Divider" is really a cabinet
Wall unit .
Same in Ghana 🇬🇭
Cabinet/wall unit yes
Lol, poor family enduring Steve's investigative questions. Awesome patience and the will not to kick Harvey's butt. Lol, JK. GO AFRICA GO STEVE
I am damn sure, Uncle Steve is Enjoying the FFA !!
Wowwwww!😍
Room dividers actually did divide rooms. They used it to divide a room to make a kitchen and a dining room in those houses that had on big room.. So the name stuck..
Exactly!
Steve legit already told them the final answer 🤣 and they still didn't get it
🤣🤣😭so yals aren't going to say something about Uncle Steve's ululating ( excuse spelling ) ... it legit made my night... I can't thank him enough for it 🤣🤣🤣
I pray I wont die without meeting you physically steve you funny inspiring good looking everything steve I really love you and all your shows steve keep on with the entertainment
Love this show. Room divider, my grandmother had room divider in our home, there beautiful shelves on the wall in the living room. Anything on those selves do not touch. Great greatgrand dad who was a real Africa picture was there if anyo touch you better prepare for death. We used listen to stories about grad Dad and great, greatgrand Dad. I think the wall was for information, beause everything displayed on that wall had a history.
9:50. The keys that he's talking about that they hang up, sound like the rights of passages as a child grows into their adult years. They basically have material significations for those levels to put in the room dividers, called keys. SPEAK.
Steve gon end up biting his damn tongue 🤣🤣
4:28 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I think Uncle Steve’s tongue locked there
Love Africa
