    I`ve just bought a brand new HP 12C gold and it calculated interest in a blink of an eye. I think the newer models use a much faster processor.

    When you annualize the quarterly interest, shouldnt you do [(1+quarterly rate)^(4) -1] rather than just multiply by 4?
