Rich is 100% in the right lol. Dude is doing potential consumers a favor. I was close to buying a Wii from them. Totally thankful for him
I find it pretty funny how people are holding Rich in such high esteem. This guy is right up there with DKOldies. Rich has been exposed numerous times for his ebegging, lying and complete dishonesty by several content creators including Keemstar. There is no doubt that DKOldies is an unethical dishonest business but having Rich from Reviewtechusa leading the charge against them is pure comedy.
They are using the DKOldies drama to distract from the fact they are scammers and grifters themselves.

The very vast majority of his videos is him regurgitating another publication’s articles and giving his two cents at the end. The guy certainly makes some good money from doing this. Countless other content creators have been calling him out for years for his lies and ebegging attempts. Even Keemstar has called him out for his BS.
So Rich isn’t doing anyone any favors by calling these scammers at DKOldies out. He wouldn’t make the videos unless it was lining his pockets.
The only reason DKOldies is still making TONS of money is because of complete idiots like reviewtechUSA that keeps trying to buy his stuff to expose him.

I'm just waiting for someone to finally take legal action on their shady business tactics at this point lol. literally WELL before the drama started happening like, a year or 2 ago i started watching their shorts and was like "hey itd be cool if i could get them to film my order, lemme buy something from them!" just to immediately be turned away from the prices. Now I see them pull this crap and it's SO satisfying to see them being called out for their practices. I knew something was fishy when i saw EVERY SINGLE ITEM was marked down and listed as "on sale" always, because that seemed very shady to me. Joey at first seemed like a likeable person, now I see him as fake and annoying.

Some folks may think we are beating a dead horse but I say these type of companies need this type of public shame until they either stop doing shady business or publicly apologize and make things better . Because nobody likes seeing other people spend their hard earned money and get scammed for a service they paid for but didn’t receive.

I know nothing about what a retro system should go for, yes i watched DKO shorts and i enjoyed them and found them fun and they said their stuff is restored so even for the high price, i was like, at least i know its restored, and then i started seeing the videos, and the reviews and people like rich and jacob opening them and now i don't know who to trust. i know you said some companies early on in the video and i'll look at them in the future. I thank you all for the reviews, cause i'd have lost my mind.

Retro Gaming Guy made a video about why he thinks DKoldies won’t address this and it makes perfect sense. He said that pretty much at this point they’ve dug them selfs so far into a hole that if they did address it it’d likely open them up to a class action lawsuit from everyone who has ordered from them so all the can do it ignore it at this point. But I also think that since they also put their own warranty sticker on the console if they did get sued companies like sony, microsoft and nintendo would likely sue them as well but that’s just my opinion on that part.

The biggest problem is that CZcams removed the disliked feature. Because there were a few people that have a Plugins and showed us the DKOldies videos have many dislikes. If it hasn't been removed. This could probably save everyone to avoid scams and other things

As an Australian it's been fascinating watching this all unfold from afar. As we have very strict consumer protection laws here, if DKOldies operated here they would get absolutely smashed by our consumer protection watchdog, the ACCC. It's really scummy how they have built their business on this and one needs to wonder how long this non-refurbishment has been going on for before they started being called out. It could have been happening for YEARS. I look forward to seeing how the next chapter unfolds.
Their new name should be Dkdirty since their consoles are dirty and they don't clean them at all and they dont want to admit it especially at these ridiculous prices and Joey won't talk to Rich because he would be liable to a lawsuit.
The best part for me is the high prices isn't the issue, its the lying about cleaning and refurbishing the products.. if they were actually selling clean and properly refurbished products, people would only be mildly complaining about prices, but if stuff was super clean and nice, NO ONE WOULD CARE!

What is the best site to have a 60GB PS3FAT (with the original hardware chip to play backwards compatible PS1/PS2 games) refurbished? I was told it needed reballed/some heatsink/fan repair done, despite keeping it cleaned & ventilated since the day I bought it new? Our local mom & pop shop got shut down when the electronics tech passed away this year from a robbery gone wrong

What is really infuriating is they offer a warranty but only if you don't open it. Opening it is the only way to actually check to see if its actually been refurbished. ( they don't refurbish them). this is a scam. Anyone who was denied a refund because of that can file a report with the state of Pennsylvania since they operate out of that state.

I think what happened was that the staff at DK Oldies started gradually cutting corners, little by little. As they grew and had more orders to fulfill, it became more cumbersome to thoroughly clean every console that they shipped out. So, they started making exceptions here and there, without any accountability, until it snowballed into the situation we have now. From the looks of their social media, this company seems like a bunch of buddies who hang out and have fun but don't hold each other to an acceptable standard of quality. I'm not defending them. Just speculating on how it could have gotten to this point.
Can’t some one someone report them to the authorities already or sue them? Their scam has to stop!!!!
Situations likes this, where you have a group manipulating and lying to their customers, is why the concept of a class action lawsuit exists. Everyone who receives a non refurbished product labeled as such should get together and think about filing a lawsuit. Just my two cents.

I bought an original Xbox game. It admittedly went fine, it was a couple dollars over market value, but did look really nice and was complete.
I think if you're looking for your average xbox/PS2 game and newer you'll pay a little over market price, but it'll be complete and look nice. Anything older than that or a console....I dunno... probably avoid like the plague.

They could’ve just been honest and apologized and do right. But I think and we all know why they won’t do that is because they’re knee deep in it and for years since 00’s apparently and they know law suits Gunna happen because they’re not being honest about cleaning the system properly for that amount of money. DKOldies is never going to openly admit they don't refurbish consoles. They already dug themselves in a hole so deep, anything they say may get them into legal trouble. The best thing they can do quietly start actually refurbishing console and keep their mouth shut. Somebody will eventually sue them if they don't make appropriate change to their business. It is just a matter of when somebody has the patience and money to take DKOldies down.

Maybe America has different rules with consumer rules.. but explain to me… how in the world can you sell something.. you say you cleaned and fixed.. but the costumers can’t open them because then the warranty is gone.. what the hell… how else can you check if they did their job?? DKOldies do refurbish their consoles. They keep everything original including the condition of the console inside and out. It's a premium DKOldies product with the original dust and dirt. Swollen compactors and other faulty components. Perhaps dead cockroaches and bugs that will make it a super ultra DKOldies product. It's all part of the refurbishing process that is a premium from DKOldies with a warranty tamper sticker so you don't mess up anything inside what DKOldies did NOT do and pay high premium prices with a free 1 year warranty.

It's fairly simple, don't buy from them if you don't care for their business practices. That's the beauty of capitalism, chose another business or business model to take your business to and DKOldies will either 1 - change or 2 - close shop.
Part of the problem is that ... they might be actually acting illegally - fraud and/or false advertising. This goes beyond "not buying," goes very squarely into the realm of "people need to know about this."
Everything you said about DKOldies is 100% correct but what exactly is the point of your video? There is zero new information and as you stated it's akin to beating a dead horse. Before you continue to hold Rich of Reviewtechusa in such high regard you should examine his past and his history of being unethical. Rich has been known to be an ebegger, a liar and an overall dishonest person. He has been caught and called out numerous times by many other creators including Keemstar. Rich does at times create good and notable content but he definitely shouldn't be held in such high esteem.
The hundreds of videos created about DKOldies and their dishonest tactics obviously has not hurt them. If anything it has helped them. The market will determine whether they continue to be successful or not. There is without any doubt people like Rich who will continue to exploit DKOldies dishonest sales tactics to line their own pockets. These videos are created for one reason only and that's because they continue to generate clicks and viewing times.
Hopefully this comment doesn’t get deleted, take this as constructive criticism, but these guys aren’t going to stop talking about DKOldies for a while, their not going to admit it but they have monetary reasons for making 10+ videos on this. Maybe they aren’t monetary, but maybe for subs?
At some point people are going to move on, and hopefully these small creators can still retain some of their audience but they have to change it up. Make videos on other things that isn’t DK Oldies, because as soon as this trend gets old, people won’t watch.
We all get it by now, They’re a bad company, don’t buy from them, prices are high and they don’t refurb consoles. We got the message from the first videos that were made. I must have watched and/or have seen dozens upon dozens of videos featuring DKOldies and how they are a terrible company. The gig is up so to speak. If you don’t know by now you’ll never know. These videos are absolutely all about making dollars. I’m all for small channels rising up and getting a taste of them greenbacks but this subject has definitely become stale.
I do find it rather comical guys like Rich from ReviewTechUSA questioning the ethics of DKOldies when his own morals have been called into question for years.
Hopefully this channel here has more subject matter to make content on. He definitely seems like he has a base knowledge of retro video games and hopefully he can gain traction and reach a larger audience. I’m going to give him a chance and subscribe to see what he has to offer. The DKOldies story needs to go away. We all know they are nothing but a rip off!!
