As a selective mute, this is honestly kind of accurate with how most situations go.. Being selectively mute means that I can talk I either just can't get myself to (and when I do, it's almost inaudible) or is unable to in certain situations. Most of the time when I'm silent, I'm trying to think of how I would word my sentences and what is good to say in this situation and what is bad to say. I think of the other persons reaction, what they will say. I think of how to say it and when to say it. I imagine situations in my head. When I go silent, I can't get myself to talk because I'm more internal, I shut down and start to think too much on how things should go or could have gone. Sometimes I wish I could give my voice away to some one who needs it more, and that's simply because I feel I don't need my voice. I can do without talking, because I'm so used to being internal with myself. I would love to figure out and learn sign language just so I don't have to talk, because I hate it. When I talk, I feel like I'm just being an annoying bother. I feel like my words mean nothing to anybody. When I try to speak, I end up getting ignored or interrupted, as if nobody gives a flying feather about what I have to say. Honestly, I feel like the only people who actually care is my bf and my best friends whom I luv as sisters. Other then that, I feel like my words are useless. Sorry for this long rant...
