Because the drums owes him money
Because getting a good native sample off the draw is best for recording. You can always alter a good signal to your advantage. A weak one? Not so much.
He's like the metal Travis Barker only does one volume

as someone who has hung out in the studio with TLI, i can assure u, 100 percent that edgey is telling him to hit that hard ✌🤠 (and harder...and harder, until he quits the band?;)

Well they will just fire him and get the next guy who will play for a flat fee, because that is what it’s about, removing anyone who has a stake in the band

He probably recorded this in the beginning of the year, before Sepultura started to rehearse for the final tour and Slipknot's call.
