All the way back to when Don Garlit did his front engine dragster and the first old Funny Cars. I real partial to 55 to 57 Fords as well as Tri Five era Chevy's. You did an amazing job on this one. Love the stacked injected 5.0 Coyote motor.

The front ends on old Fords are always beautiful. Sure the 57 Chev was very flashy, but you get sick of looking at them, this 55 has awesome lines ! The grill an work under the headlights is VERY sexy!

They named her “old black” I didn’t have my license yet so after the newly weds went to bed 😁 I used to sneak old black out and cruise around Highland Park for 20 or 30 minutes. I’d cruise the Mayfair market parking lot, and just drive around a little. I had to drive. This beautiful 55 Ford reminded me of my youth.
That is one of the sweetest rides I have ever seen. I'm like you Scottie. 55 Fords are a sweet body style. I've always likes the lines of that years. The man did such a nice job. A dying art. The man could do it all. All I can really say is WOW ! Thanks for getting this to us brother.

I watched the start of this build on a Web forum a couple years ago. It ended on the forum and I wondered what became of it. I am building a 55 club sedan but used a 68 428 CJ that's been stroked to 445 CI. putting down over 450 hp and 525 ft lbs.
I love 55 thru 7 Ford's. Always have. It's funny how they did like Chevy and just did detail changes 55-6 with a total body redesign for 57. Really just dig all 3 years. Nice to see the love that one got. It's awesome!
I am a Ford fan, but fan or not.......no one can deny that cars "badass-ity", sometimes a builder needs to know when to leave things alone. I have a "survivor" Bronco, in beautiful shape, and every time someone tries to "fix one up", they erase all the things that make those old 4X4's so friggin' cool! Soooooo, Kudo's to that guy!
Awesome, sexy 55!!! I love the 55 Chevy but I'm a diehard Ford man and the 55-58 Fords just look classier to me and in original form the Y-blocks are awesome as well...

The '55 and '56 Ford "Vickys" were two of the prettiest Fords ever built in my opinion. '60 Dodge Taillights look GREAT on these cars because they have the same "eye-brow" design as the headlights as also with the '56 Ford back-up light assemblies...and they're almost a "bolt on" item. A cool and inexpensive custom trick..... And the '56 Vicky had the exhaust going through the bumper by factory design at the rear corners, so they are NOT too "modern a touch" as the cameraman mentioned at 2:00 above.
I had a 55 Victoria, white over turquoise, cruzer skirts. The only thing Ford didn’t do with the 55 was to put a 12 volt system in. The ohv engine was a bear to start with 6 volts. And on cold mornings, the bear was even worse. Some people put a 8 volt system in with a resistor coil to help, but, it was lame. The 56 cured that with a 12 volt system.

It's getting a stroked Windsor due to header fitment trouble and the price of custom made ceramic coated headers being so expensive.
