You just don't see too many of these done up like this. I've ran across a few customs but I gotta admit, that's the nicest Fairlane I've laid eyes on. Good execution all the way around. A damn fine ride.
Another absolutely fascinating example of a Super-Trick Ford Blue Oval. That 429 Boss motor is the measuring stick for certain. Well done. Thanks Scotty
It's awesome to see a Boss 429 in a midsize car like this 67 Fairlane. Love the 66-67 Fairlane body style. Ford should've used the Torino/Cyclone platform in 1969-70 to homologate the Boss9 engine for Nascar instead of using the Mustang. I think it would've made for a better balanced package in the midsize cars and the Torino and Cyclone were the cars that they actually raced in Nascar. Plus Ford already had the Mustang GT, Mach 1, Boss 302, and Shelby GT350 and GT500. They really didn't need another performance package for the Mustang platform
I'm told the 66-67 R Code 427 was a beast back in the day, but the 429 built W/Cam will work too. I like the Color's white with red interior "old skool". Nice wheels. Vent windows. Clean engine Scottie. Beautiful inside Steve. Thanks!!
Love those Boss 429's! That car, with that big motor is a real terror on the streets,as well as the drag strip! Awesome car, awesome motor,& super nice work all around. Loved it!
There was a Fairlane subseries around '64, the Thunderbolt, fitted with the largest Ford engines, 428s or so. These were designed as stockers, with enough built for sale to homologate them. They were usually 2dr. post sedans.
I watch the vid of Great White with no interior and then this one awesome build! Straight up Classic, Clean & Nasty!!! Wicked Fairlane. I'm a Ford guy ;) Trev from Chicago
G'day from Down under, Sydney Australia. We got very similar bodied Fairlane's from 1968 through to 1978 that followed very closely the Ford US design lines. The model prefixes were ZA,B,C & D which were all incarnations of the ''Tank'' and then the ZF, & G which were the same shape and the last of the line, the ZJ. They started with 289's, and ended with 302 & 351 options with FMX autos & 9'' LSD. These cars are still very good buying and like yours, big blocks go in with relative ease. Great video, hope you look up our Aussie Fords. My avatar is my 2001 Falcon XR8 which is 5.0i Windsor and the new 2017 Falcon XR8 have the supercharged 5.0i Coyote!
Beautiful car. When I was in my 20s I had a Fairlane GT with a 390 and a four speed, darn near killed myself in my mindless youth. This Fairlane brings back many memories, the customizing sure produced a very attractive collector that anyone would love to own.
The 66-67 R-Code 427 Fairlane's were the baddest Ford's of the muscle car era. Some people may disagree and say the BOSS 429 Mustang was, but you had to do a few day 2 mods to the BOSS9 to really bring out its full potential. You had to ditch the ridiculously tiny factory 735 cfm carb and the very restrictive exhaust system that the BOSS came with and install a 780-850cfm carb and headers. Also the BOSS 429 came from the factory with a really mild cam for a high strung racing engine. So installing a more radical cam and adjusting the timing also helped wake the BOSS 429 right up
Yo Scotty this car here is unbelievable the 429 I'll never be your Beast of Burden I've ran for miles my tires are hurting no music on the radio come on baby make love to me nobody beat No Junk Chevy and no Dodge the blue oval forever
@@ScottieDTV yo Scotty if I'm talking into my phone if it makes a mistake forgive me I love the video and the more Fords you have the more I'll be watching as you've guessed you see I don't I'm not a bowtie kind of guy now Dodge they had some great Motors if I'm not mistaken 426 Hemi holds the record on the quarter mile however when the 429 came out that really gave that Hemi a run for its money and beat it a lot of times you have a great night buddy I'll be checking you out take care
I know this is a 3 year old vid, but what a terrific job! That interior is stunning. With a Boss 9 and manual shift to top it all off - wow. Just wow. What happened to the car? Does the owner still have it?
It's very cool! Love Fairlane's, especially the 67s. Owned mine for 11 years. Check out my Scarelane videos when you have a minute. Not in the same league as Great White, but it's still pretty cool and a bit different from the crowd.

Believe it or not at this level it's a deal...there are shops that don't do as nice as work...but charge twice that...you will have $6000 in just leather in one of these interiors... plus two weeks of labor times 4 people...
What a beautiful car I wish it was mine that motor purrs like a kitten Ford first on race day fast on race day and last but certainly not least ferocious on race day no junk Chevrolet
