- We're back with another GR Yaris test and this time round we're testing a host of PIAA horns!
It's a common complaint with the GR Yaris that the OEM horn doesn't convey the right message when used. So with the PIAA horn catalogue at our disposal we work our way through them so Matt can select the correct horn that suits him!

I actually find the super bass horn easier on the ears then the higher pitched ones.

The original one sounds like the Toyota etios one, pretty hilarious that they put a basic hooter on such a refined car.

I've got the Super Bass horn. Many lolz to be had.
Out of the ones you tried the super bass is the only one I'd use but I actually like the standard one, more polite and I pretty much never honk so not really worth switching
Great review as I was just looking at upgrading my horn on my GR, quick question though, I know you made that bracket but will both new horns fit on the factory single bracket?
Hi, yes, i believe you can fit them both on the single bracket.
Might be just being nit picking, the Piaa horns has a larger surface area may somewhat affect the airflow onto the inter cooler. I would probably leave them out, hardly have to use the horn anyways.
I've got piaa valeo oto style on my Honda brio
Can you install 3 piaa horns instead 2 two in a 2017 civic? Believe they are 3.4 amps each, so it be 10.2 amps when using the horns.
You can even install 4. Each pair just needs their own relay.
Is the wiring heavy enough for those horn replacements?
Hi, yes you shouldn't have any issues with the PIAA horn.
it comes down to safety issue...with stock toyota horn at 130kmh on highway nobody hears you if someon cuts you off or anything it is just dangerous ...it sounds like 50cc scooter horn because it is ... yes loud horn is not useful driving trough a quiet village neighborhood saying hello to neighbours with it ....if you need a horn for that stock is perfect...I'm changing mine for superior bass horn piaa and will not honk anymore to say hello to my neighbours
At least in this video the oem horn sounds the cleanest and prettiest to me. I’ll keep it.
I like your video, but for me as German it is really very hard to understand your "dialect" (polite) at some points 😀 or should I say mumbling? 😀
The original horn is so quiet, you cannot here it on the Autobahn. But also deactivating noise cancelling helps. Before I thought the horn has a defect, there was nothing to hear within the car.
The video really didn’t need Matt telling us that he uses the horn to express his “anger”. That isn’t what the horn is for and just makes him look a bit of a nob in my opinion.
I know someone has already asked it and you said it’s fine but I would want to see a relay fitted for those horns. The current draw is significantly more than stock on all of them.
Hi mate, thank you for your feedback. They actually only draw about 5-6A between them. The horn circuit in the Yaris has a 10A fuse. A lot of other cars have 15A fuses in there. The instructions have no mention of a relay as its just not needed
someone cuts you up on a roundabout or pulls out on you at a dangerously slow speed you dont use your horn?
@@Seyiu. Better to concentrate on your own car control instead of honking unnecessarily. The mistake already happened, honking is not gonna make it better
