Years of widespread poaching and civil war savaged the rhinos’ populations, and the last few who remain are now protected by 24/7 armed guards at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Although they are already extinct in the wild, the wildlife sanctuary hopes to encourage breeding by replicating the animals’ natural habitats. In this short film by United for Wildlife and Black Bean Productions, hear from the men who guard the northern white rhinos as they share the special bond they have with the magnificent endangered creatures at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

This group of rangers are incredibly brave for protecting these northern white rhinoceros.
National Geographic Wow thank you to these rangers caretakers and all involved. I've seen a picture of a dead rhino with its horn cut off with a chainsaw a few years ago. Still makes me sad and sick thinking about it. This video makes my heart sing happy.
We're so happy you enjoyed this video! The hunting of rhinos is incredibly sad, but we are so grateful for these rangers who are protecting them.

I wish every human being had the compassion that these rangers do and I am grateful for their service in protecting them.
These men commit their everyday lives to protect lives that have no voice of their own. This video makes me happy as I watch that rhino cafe cuddle with these men whom saved him, this video makes me mad that parts of humanity try to slaughter these innocent and beautiful creatures, and this video makes me sad that these wonderful Rangers are not given more of a global gratitude for their selfless sacrifices. It takes a hero to save and nurture wildlife. I'm so touched by this!

Everyday i see comments listen to nonsense about debates on animal abuses / poaching / hunting.. Etc... There Is a huge difference in people in the world.. Some have heart some don't. Some have feelings some don't. Some love animals beyond their soul. Some careless. And debates go on. Animal abuse goes on. But for me i could never ever accept any explanation about them issues. As there is none. All of us were put on this planet for reason. Even the animals. BALANCE!! And we destroy all of the good. Excuses are plentiful... So my HEART and PRAYERS go out to these and ALL RANGERS. There is a huge threat to their lives daily.. The love they show is enormous. Anyone who puts life on the line for another KUDOS!!! I truly hope all these rangers get to read these comments so they know how appreciated they truly are... And so SPECIAL!!! Thank you for showing us this clip... this made my day. I m glad that in today's world people like them exist. so touching, I used to watch geographic video's of this animal and always ask my grandad and wondered why they have that horn on their nose. and now seeing that that animal is endangered, is really heartbreaking.
I want to go there and contribute because it's a really sad situation and it's not only happening in Kenya but all over the world, humans can't stop killing animals and harm them until their extinction it's just a cruel reality. They are completely heroes in my personal opinion

Actually there is still hope. Scientist are trying to fertilize the eggs with the frozen rhino sperm taken right before the Male died.

A Hunt they aren’t, they saved male North African rhino sperm and were able to get 10 North African rhino eggs from the last two females let. They are saving them as we speak.
we'll see what happens with the fertilize egg in a couple months now, let's not loose hope

These guys are true heroes. They need the worldwide support
The way these gentlemen talk about their animals isn't something we are used to hearing. Usually we only see them as part of a video. In the background. Without context. So to listen to them and hear their genuine love, admiration and respect for their charges is wonderful. I would watch an entire movies worth of film just to learn more about their lives. Truly dedicated, brave and impressive people.

Go and Google bush meat. Tons of poached animals (even roadkill) is smuggled out of Africa to London to feed the superstitious believes of Africans. Most of these animals are poached by these heroic innocent looking warders. Sad, but true.

unfortunately the eldest two are too old to breed, but the youngest one may be able to breed with another species of rhino to create a cross species
@@joecowan7799 They apperantly have Sudan and another male rhino's sperm. It's still not decomposing so we might get a baby from that. Someone did inform us that they tried getting the younger rhino pregnant
