    I got burned today at locals with the predaplant monster :( I had empen and on his turn he summoned the predaplant fusion monster in defense mode and said that empen was negated. He continued to go off and go for game. This videos are awesome keep updating the rulings it can mean more wins for the birds ! 🦅

      Ah so Dragostpalia only negates ACTIVATED effects, idk if it would have affectes much, but Empen's floodgate would still have been live! (Not the attack reducer tho)

    Always a pleasure to review bird law 101. I saw in other comments you mentioned working on an updated decklist! Super excited for that, I think ultimate slayer is going to be super spicy, especially with some of the fossil warriors/generically good sends like garuda/n’tss. How do you feel about extravas? To me it doesn’t feel good and I was wondering what you thought. Please make that Floowandereeze and Floowandereeze and Floowandereeze card a custom field center / card and put it on your shop! I’m sure you’d sell out

      I normally main deck drnm but since I was able to pull a playset of slayers (one starlight woohoo) I’m going to try using that instead. Added bonus is that if you open >1 it’s not opt so it doesn’t feel as bad as opening 2 drnm. Which from my experience you either open 2-3 or 0.

    • @keasbeytcg
      @keasbeytcg  Před 2 lety

      @@HenryA5438A My take on Slayer is it's either a) A back up to DRNM, or b) A good targeted counter to something where you only need to out one part of the board (Like vs. Tearalaments if they end of a Dragostaplia). I mean, def give it a shot, I just this for a main deck, DRNM gives you a bit more of a boost going 2nd if you need it, whereas going into G2 and G3, you can swap in Slayer depending on the situation and how specific you need to get. Also Vs. something like Spright or the odd rouge matches, if you need to out Main deck monsters specifically it can be a problem not having the DRNM

      @@keasbeytcg I was in a situation where my opponent did cl1 Dinomorphia trap to Fusion summon, I did cl2 Dreaming town. So...it would apply there. But, when you say cl1 dreaming town, are you saying they can wait for Barrier Statue to summon, then solemn judgment the summon of Statue in a separate chain? Or, can they only solemn the trap card?

    • @keasbeytcg
      @keasbeytcg  Před 2 lety +1

      So in the Dinomorphia case you described, they COULD Solemn Dreaming Town, but if they didnt then they couldnt Solemn Statue because Statue is being summoned essentially on CL2, and CL1 has to still resolve.
      From a gamestate where DT is CL1, they could Solemn DT OR Statue, because Statue is summoned after DT resolves, and nothing is left in the chain. Effects like DT with the "After this resolves Summon..." type effects are a bit weird in how they interact, I hope this helped make sense of it

    Thank you very much for the video, Keasbey. It is great as always :)

    Would that be something to make a video about? :)

    • @keasbeytcg
      @keasbeytcg  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you! And I'm not sure if I'll do a full video on the Mirror, but I can speak towards it a bit here. Going 1st or 2nd, it's a race to "Who can get Unexplored Winds first" and knows how to prevent the opponent's birds from Activating with it haha. Also Quickplay ST removal is king for dealing with Dreaming Town outside of the Main Phase. DD Crow is actually kind of useful at times, as you can potentially disrupt a Stri from resolving as well. DRNM isn't bad either if you can bait out an early Dreaming Town, making them make an early Apex Avian. Evenly Matched isn't too bad, despite the Small Birds almost plus-ing off of it haha, but again, it's good backrow removal, which is really key.

    Hey buddy!!! Loving the bird work! What’s your opinion about Draco utopian aura the new counter trap? I think it’s made for floowandreeze because it’s second effect of banishing a monster from your hand to steal the monster

    • @keasbeytcg
      @keasbeytcg  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you! I actually don't like Aura for a few reasons...
      - So, counter trap so it is better going first, which, while not bad, isn't realllly what the deck needs so much, it's more getting our plays off the ground that is what we need
      - The Banish from hand is solid, but the rest of the effect is actually really detrimental, because we can't play on our opps turn because the special summon is mandatory, same for if the card sticks around to our own turn, yeah we can stop a play and get a card, but we can't do any small bird plays due to having special summoned.
      - It also only interacts with on field monsters, so no stopping hand traps unfortunately, which is a big stopper for us, since we can, under even semi-ideal circumstances, can just Dreaming Town a board face down before our opponent can make a threat!
      TL:DR, the face that you HAVE to special summon and that it doesn't interact with hand traps makes this card not really viable for the Floos

      @@Lilac_BS If I'm reading it right, no, because Snowl isn't saying you can summon 3 additional times, it's saying you get 3 summons that turn, so if you summon Snowl, get the 3, then summon Snowl again, you already summoned to given 3 times, if that makes sense

    Hey Keasbey! Question about something you mentioned about map around here 11:00
    1. So if my opponent normal summoned a monster you're saying that even though they are turn player map would activate as CL1?
    2. If so what would happen if they have effects tied to normal summoning like Stratos for example? Would map still be CL1 or CL2?
    Thanks!

    • @keasbeytcg
      @keasbeytcg  Před 2 lety

      Hey! So...
      1) It depends. If their normal summon also has a summon Trigger, Map will be CL2, since turn player's Triggers will always stack first. If they normal summon and don't have a Trigger, map is CL1, keep in mind, Normal Summons DO NOT start a chain on their own
      2) In this case, would summon stratos, it would trigger as Cl1 and Map would Trigger as CL2!
