only problem with this technique in this game of using the front loader to ram into the side of the hill of dirt is that they have a gold loss issue with this method. You lose a lot of gold using this method if the dirt pile is too high. :( i have had that issue and had to go back to the excavator.
Don't mine from "Bottom to up" because you delete/lose pay the falling pay dirt, also you can empty the big sluicebox grates TWICE if they are 100% with small shovel.
I didn't know both of those I thought the shoveling the sluicebox crate twice was a glitch
Hey bud I love the videos of gold rush and I've watched all 26 before this 1. I'm just starting this one but at the beginning u did a preview and it said the best pay day yet of 1800 but in "ripping up the frozen tundra" u got a pay out of 2200 grams. Just wanted to let you know. But again love the vids and I'll keep my eye out for more. I really hope this game comes out for console soon. It says that it was supposed to come out in Q4 of 2019 but it still hasn't yet. I followed their facebook page and it says there has been delays and should in Q1 of 2020 so I binge watch your gold rush vids instead until it comes out lol thanks for the enjoyment man

I love this new technique, OCD friendly.
Every discussion I've read on the Interwebz about the front loader and mining from the bedrock is you lose the gold in the layers above the layer you are mining in. Apparently the game measures layers every half meter, and you should mine from the top down...NOT the bottom up for the best yields.
Do you have some insider info, or patch notes I missed where they stated it's cool to mine from the bottom now, Drae?
still the same the dirt that falls down from the top layers gold becomes lost when you dig from the bottom :( you can use the front loader and the method shown in the vid but you have to work it down from the top in layers for the biggest yields :)
It was painful and timely but I can confirm, the bottom up method yields less than the top down. As much as I trust the interweb and all you wonderful peeps, I needed to find out for myself. Get the excavator and park the front end loader. Cheers.

Get 2 Frank's and make a chain from the bottom of the hole up to the hopper
The day when they change the controls to the same as the excavator is when the front end will be much better lol

5:10 skid steer with a crazy long turning radius
Drae, you don't need a pump at the output of the water tower and you can use the valves on the outputs to control them this eliminating the need for the small pump

could the higher gain be due to the higher concentration of gold i at bedrock, as you are mining from there its also treating the falling dirt that replaces what you mined as that contration as well?

To make a Ramp down with the Bulldozer, you need to press and hold F.
You need to build a ramp for the front end loader to get higher than the dump truck
Cold destroy battery if you don't use it few time in week. There can be charge to start once, but that is "realistic"
If you raise you lamp and move it to the hill you can light up the whole spot

90% sure you had duplex jig buckets of 141g at one point in a previous episode. Also, I may have been mistaken but I thought you got 2200g total out of the clean out. (Maybe you already had some gold though)
Drae what have you got in you're pc?
Only thing I work out was having 4 dump trucks filling them all up then hitting wash plant with 4 loads is better then using Frankenstein and you save about 30% more in fuel costs
Have you fully mined an area before moving onward to the next area
Not to diss gold rush but youre the only one who makes it enjoyable

I realize these posts are from months ago but I am just getting going with Gold Rush now. I have not used the excavator once. Identified that as a major time waster, immediately. Front end loader to wash plant and started at one end of OA and now almost at the middle. Move the wash plant occasionally to keep it close to the loader. Bucket fills wash plant 80-90% per scoop. Reading below however and now concerned I left a covid-load of gold behind. Is it true that we have to mine from the top down? If so, i'm done. Can't imagine using that tiny little bucket to fill even the dump truck. Thanks.
Mike Doyle nah bro. You dont have to. You might see a tad better profits. But I’m a front end loader man myself, when you’re mining the wall. Just start from the middle and work your way down the wall, Up down up down etc . You don’t have to layer the whole parcel. Trust me, you’re not missing out on anything. The biggest determining factor for gold is your wash-plant tier. Enjoy the FEL I love the Excavator. But it makes the game too grindy.

You should be able to hire a dump truck driver, where you just fill up the dump truck and it slowly empties and goes into the machine or something like that.

All this game needs is the bucket wheel excavator.
Turns out this way to dig deletes a lot more dirt than it puts in the scoop.
If it's good paydirt you end up running 10-20% of it and the rest is gone. Easy digging but not good in the long run.

You know this is the most boring game ever... and I would never play it myself, but Drae makes it enjoyable :D

He wouldn't for a while, as excavator comes in handy, like he did dug up the ramp, he might have to do that again in the future, he might not sell it till he's completely sure its of no use now
