I think you should wait to get the good stuff so that it's even more lucrative when you get it because of your hard work, patience, and upgrades!
Open pit now, get the upgrades, then go for the high yield ground. Make the most out for the gold rich areas.

I think you should mine with the escavator from the furthest part of the claim (the best yields) with the 2 frankensteins, to make the upgrades to tier 4 as fast as possible, because afterwords you really don't need money for anything else. Cheers Drae, your mining videos are gold!
I'd start at the edge of the hills flatten out the top first still making small amounts of gold, but it would be good to see u clean a whole site

Last I heard, digging out walls with the loader causes the dirt that falls from above where you dig to lose all of its gold.
Yeah... He wastes like 90% of the gold in his pits.
Get to tier 4, bigger yields, basically losing gold on tier 3. Love this series! You do a great job!

I think you should take advantage of the easy to excavate good areas then focus on the open pit mine so it saves you having to move everything out the mine just to get to it
I tried an open pit and had loads of fun in the "side loader" but didn't get as much gold as excavator. Going as deep with the excavator as you can and moving back worked well. Using the bulldozer on the next level down keeps everything nice and flat, also it stops you going crazy filing dump trucks
Drae dig a wider hole as deep as you can and then put the Excavator in the hole with the Frankenstein’s hopper down there as well
Hey Drae you should get the worker that auto use the drill to see the hole map. The driller employ reveals one square every 30 min

Well, I think the first thing you should consider is flattening your terrain out, that should help you tremendously.

In my opinion, you should use the excavator and drill to pin-point the best ground. Then use the money earned from the excavator to buy as many upgrades as possible. Finally, you could make an open-pit mine and get the remaining gold with the front/side end loader to get the rest of the expensive upgrades.

Yay! This is my favorite series!
Considering how decent the ground is here, and how uneven the bedrock is, you might consider flattening the topsoil here to allow your machines to travel better. Sure, it's a bit of a pain at first, but once it's done, you'll move around a LOT better. You can use the front loader to flatten out the area, so you can still process whatever paydirt you can get and still make at least a little money until you get the place flattened out. Then, once you have a nice, flat area to travel around in, you can cherry-pick your best areas, dig a ramp down into the area in question, and start making the screw-you money. :)

you can try and build a rump for the front end loader by not digging too deep where there is bad ground and then you won't have to deal with the steep bedrock
Flatten the rote that your ump truck needs to travel
Also use a small trailer to transport your refinery materials
This game obviously has no flaws and glitches.

As someone who recently got this game: there is a lot more digging than you show. I gotta give you mad respect. The game is peaceful: but even I can only play it for 2 hours a sitting.
The treads are for grip and low surface pressure, not speed. Although it definitely felt too slow there.
Leave the best part of map for tier 5 please.
open pit mine is kinda preferred, and the claim seems to have "ramp" areas near the top of the claim so an open pit is not impossible

If Money isn't a problem then why don't you do the open pit where you are, and lease the franks and daisy chain them together which will cut the travel time! Enjoying the playthroughs Drae

I dont play this much but this is by far one of my most favorite games from a TV show. I tried deadliest catch and it was complete trash. I only got like 1k in hours on this game. But Ima start again.

I personally prefer hydronear because I like the art style and you get to physically see the gold that you get but still I like your vids regardless

Drea you could save money by not running the top 4-6m of dirt. When you where looking at the gold map it show no gold in it.
The rocks that come out of the machen is Magnetite
if you use a front end loader on a large wall of dirt you loose gold, the game is desgined to be played with the excavator first, front end loader second to make as much out of the rich spots as you can. the grey dirt on that claim is not worth the cost to run it through the plant so normally i just doze it to the side or dump it on the hard non mineable land were it gets deleted
I know you are going to hate this but use the bulldozer and push a bunch of pay dirt in to a pile near the unloading zone and then go from there
I'd like to see an open pit mine that you slowly expand to empty the entire claim into one huge cut.

Sometimes take a break is really good idea (remember how frequently you can break the game in single episode)
you should drill some more and open-pit mine in the middle
Excavator is better because when you use front end loader on the bottom of the pit the game onlu register the bottom part of the terrain so everything above is wasted
