that was most enjoyable really loved it . Denis is my name Im Irish and in May Im doing a bike packing from Santander to Santiago . I'm continuing to Tudela where I have some friends there .the only problem is I'm almost 80 years of age , but watch this space .

We didn’t save our routes yet at that point, but Komoot can suggest plenty of routes in your area with their smart suggestions. Have a great trip!

I'm cycling from Bilboa to Saint Malo in July , has anyone cycled Bilboa with a bicycle trailer ? Are the hills that crazy ?
How was it to wild camp on the green spain trip? Did you feel relaxed when camping wild? I am planning on similar but smaller trips there and feel hesitant because it is not legal to camp wild and have read that fines can be big
As long as you keep your spot tidy, don’t make an open fire and take all your trash with you you’re doing what you should do when wild camping. And if you set up your tent just before dark and take it down after sunrise, you should be fine in not being spotted. Wild camping in Western Europe is hard, but once you know the principles it’s already much more manageable. Leave no trace!

Wonderful video. What lens did you use?
Thanks Martin. I believe this was shot on the Olympus 17mm F1.8 pancake lens. It’s tiny and really good for universal use. Right now I would prefer its bigger sibling though-the M.Zuiko Pro 12-40mm f2.8-seeing that it’s weatherproof and, thanks to a little bit of zoom, much more capable in universal use!

I love viewing many of these bike touring videos but wonder why people don't also include a clear map of their route?
Wonferful pictures but where exactly are they?
Are these videos just to get "views" or to share love of bike touring?
For me, including an exact map in the video spoils the act of surprise for someone riding the same route. Nowadays though, you can head over to my Komoot profile to see the map, exact route and photos of the trip linked to their exact GPS location. Happy?
For me, not enough detail about riding. Mostly stunning scenery and arty shots. Gradient of the "mother f...... hill", average speed etc. More helpful for someone being inspired to try bikepacking
