Thanks mate. I decided to stick with my original PD bike mount. From looking at the frequency dampers in the motorbike one I was unconvinced it added anything for me. If they create one with different frequency modulation I can look again. Great video as always

I see that they are made in china and now you can buy close to identical online For £8 I have no idea why they charge so much for this product. When the clone version comes with the vibration dampener i will just buy that for £10

I use the universal bar mount from PD for my 2 motorcycles and 3 bicycles. What I have noticed is that I find more vibration on my gravel bike than on my motorcycle. I have been using it for several years and never had any problems with my phone camera etc. The one thing I love the most is that I only need one to fit them all :)

I have been using Quadlock for years, to support an Australian company, but these look very cool.

This looks like a solid break-proof mount. Can't stress enough how important that is. I had a plastic phone mount that looked sturdy, but after it broke (nearly killing me as the phone fell in the front wheel) it turned out that only one of the four studs connecting front and back had received a drop of glue ... (unrelated: why even have a Wahoo if you still need a phone ... ?)

I use to use phone mounts by quad lock and life proof for 7 years but after seeming and hearing so many cycles get there new phones taken of the bikes in secs at traffic lights … or while touring in on world tour speciall in Asia and South Africa gone in secs i stopped using them

Why would you put your phone on a mount that makes it wet? dampen /ˈdamp(ə)n/ verb 1. make slightly wet. "the fine rain dampened her face" I think you mean damper.

It's worth noting that wild camping is illegal everywhere in Spain. Bivouacing is legal although I'm unsure if this is across the board or only in certain regions. The most complex setup allowed for bivouacing is tarp+sleeping bag or bivy+sleeping bag. You can only set up sometime around sunset and leave after sunrise. I know people who wild camp in Spain anyway but be aware that you're assuming a risk of being kicked out and/or fined. Apparently, the absolute worst case in terms of fines is Valencia where the maximum fine is €60,000; this is exceptional, as the maximum fine in most regions is in the low thousands and I've never come across anything in Spanish press about this. The biggest concern in Spain (in the whole peninsula, in fact) is wild fires, especially right before, during and right after summer. So be smart, be aware, be respectful and LNT.

Are you happy going with flat bars? Would you consider using drop bars for aero benefits and changing hand positions? It looks like you get into fairly rough terrain. Great video, for people who want to do a trip like this I would advise to plan the routes carefully with a website like hammerhead routing website or comparable. It can show you the official cycling routes and prevents you from running into 15% hills. That is just really annoying with bikes + luggage.
