  • ,Welcome to Episode 19 of my UK mountain biking vlog series. In this episode I headed back to The Forest of Dean MTB trail centre with my cousin Cliff to check out the newly opened FOD Skills area. In my previous FOD video I only did one lap of the jump section, so I really wanted to go back and shoot a more in-depth look at the jump and drop skills line in the FOD MTB Skills Area.

This is my local, I only live 10 mins from FoD and I ride these all the time.... this is a great video you’ve shot here, extolling the virtues of the skills area and your great analysis of Corkscrew, Ski Run and GBU

Thanks for the kinds words Darcy! FOD is such a great spot and will definitely be riding there much more when this lockdown is over! Fortunately I was able to shoot a video at FOD before the new lockdown came into effect so keep an eye out for that!

Nice riding butt. I have a mental block trying that slab drop on GBU 😂 been thinking about it for years and still can't get myself to do it 😂

Cheers Daniel! It can be a tricky one, I remember years ago when I used to ride there I was terrified of the drops on GBU, it is a bit of a leap of faith but soooo satisfying once you get it nailed!

Hey! Take it in your own stride, ride with other good riders as this will help you to improve and mostly just enjoy yourself! Learning some basics like bunny hops and cornering can be very helpful when starting out too. I only have one tutorial at the moment but have some more planned soon! Keep shredding 🤘
