Ok I admit the drawing made me chuckle a little at first glance, but I don’t think it’s something worthy enough to throw a hissy fit or to send death threats about.
I like how Boney walks on his hind legs when you are walking, but runs normally when you run.
I'm pretty sure that 50% of the people that criticized the artwork of Kumatora at the beginning couldn't make a drawing better than that themselves.
When I heard about the major backlash this drawing got I thought, "Oh no, I have to see this." I'm not sure what i expected, but it wasn't this(Child porn or something, i don't know. At least then the hate would be understandable. Its chugga, though, so of course its not. Just used it as an example.) There's nothing wrong with it. I don't understand why people hate this drawing. Genuinely. Like, is it just because its an amateur drawing? Speaking as an artist, its not even bad, its not great, but there are good things to say about it. The shading, for one, is really good. I don't understand why this drawing would insight such outrage. And certainly not enough to throw such awful words at the artist. I. I'm baffled, truly baffled.

I just saw the drawing and it's not bad for it's time. I'm sure this individual is a very gifted person who made time for Emile and his let's play. As an artist myself I can commend this work; although not a portfolios worth, but those who can do commissions and like these, I have most respect.

Hedgehogs M8 criticism and hostility are not the same. A good writer doesn’t need to lash out at the artist to get their points across. It is unfortunate that idiots go to far.

Thats something neat that I would like to see more of, an old boss returning stronger as an optional boss and that goes double for games where you don't actually kill the enemy.

That image is actually very realistic, based on how the game describes her ("A strong, wise and rather masculine girl"), her attitude and pretty much by simply looking at her sprite in the game.

So this is the infamous Kumatora artwork. I remain firmly of the belief that Chuggaa had a point, and now I have viewed the subject matter, and thus can make said statement fairly.
I didn't even notice anything about the artwork until you made a video about it. Also, I definitely see what you're talking about by Kumatora being a tomboy and it's relation to the pic.

Okay so I heard people didn’t like The Kumatora drawing so I expected aw man it would have to be horrible for 90% of Chugga’s fan base at the time to be totally outraged by it right? right? No the picture doesn’t look that bad it looks decent it is also there for like 10 seconds people were weird back then
Edit: wait no it was 5 why the hell did people say all these horrible things about it the episode is 8 minutes long it’s only there for 5 seconds of it fits her personality sure it isn’t perfect but it still is pretty good

Alright, normally I never leave comments, but I feel this is nessary. To everyone complaining about the Kumetora artwork, I would like to direct you to the following video by Chugga called "Chugga talks about idiots who think a drawing is grounds to wage a war".
I believe that this speaks for itself, and I swear to God that it is real.

Sarah Burns I like to draw so I know how hard it is to draw characters. Like Sonic Pacman kikashi are easy, but more complex designs are kinda hard.

I remember he uploaded part 1 with the original artwork, then uploaded it with the new artwork, then uploaded the older one to spite idiots. This is why the video was uploaded on the 12th of December when part 9 was uploaded on the 11th and part 2 uploaded on the 4th.
I see what Chugga was talking about. The picture is very good, it just took a while to understand that it is actually pretty accurate to what Kumatora looks like.

I just noticed a error in an enemy bio and Chuggaa's commentary, he calls the firs new enemy a batgantuan. It's actually a Batangutang (combination of Bat and ORangutang)

looking back at this video because i havent watched this series in like a year... but looking back... the Kumatora art work... is flat out amazing... people are just stupid... they probably tried to draw Kumatora but it probably came out looking like Fat Albert... people dont know what art is. All the haters that commented are probably still at the stick figure level of drawing... sorry that all those little brats made you as mad as you were.

@sipuff Actually, the one that got all the crap was the reason Chuggaa removed the video when he first uploaded it--but I don't see how it could have caused all the negative reactions it got.
I finally figured out why Lucas is referred to as Commander.
It's because he looks like the Masked Man, who is the leader of the Pigmasks.

for those of you who dont know... if you didnt kill the strawerry slime... you can do so now and still get it for the sprinting bomb... which i think is pretty good...

I do, Mother/Earthbound only has Lucas and Ness as it is, plus there'd be another female character besides the Princesses, Samus,and Jigglypuff.

Oh c'mon guys. The art is actually pretty damn good. It looks very strange only because the artwork from the artist is realistic, while the artwork of the characters within the game is more cartoonish. So of course it looks different since it is a different style.
