I love the idea of differentiating being bad and being mean. One is an accident, essentially, or a lapse in judgement. The other is a choice.
Exactly!
Me too such a simple concept and easy to remember I'm adding that to my tool belt for sure
My son always says I’m just playing
100% over empathy is a big problem, even in advice I see in ADD support groups. Holding kids accountable is an art when they have ADHD & RSD. Thank you for these videos!
Yes and thank you for watching!
I was literally telling my husband we need to get on top of this at our home when this teaser popped up. Can't wait to learn!
I'm glad my timing was good :)
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!
thank you!
This! Omg yes! I just had to give my son (6) a mini lecture on our way to school this morning about his tone!
As someone with adhd, i find i actually do this aswell! Especially if im frustrated! Im not snapping at someone specifically, im just snapping in a general manner… i feel i let my son get away with speaking to me this way due to him using his voice as a way to “purge” the anger and frustration… i never feel its directed at me but just used in a general way like i do…. But yes, i think we need to find a different approach for unleashing that stress as not everyone will see it like i do (again, this is just my personal experience with how i am) and its not a good way to handle things!
Amazing video! I still cant express enough at just how unbelievably thankful i am for having found your channel! 🙌🏻
Here's a video for him: czcams.com/video/mQRSgFyR_5Y/video.htmlsi=CKMYlKAozjj4s9CY
My son tells me he sounds just like me and then we enter the argument vortex. Whether I make a request or a gentle correction or even a compliment I am "yelling at him." Any suggestions?

Xool😊
My child 13 is just talking in a bad way to provoke and get a reaction , in that time would it be okay to just ignore ?As talking about it then and there ,will create more argument leading to nothing.

ADHd kid is concerned 😢😅
We find ways to tackle things...😅

I'm going to implement these now. Any help with an ADHD child speaking disrespectfully to younger siblings?
