I’m in Madrid now on a mini vacay😍
I live in Denmark so it’s a short flight here. Madrid is great! We are staying in an apartment in the Plaza España area. Very nice with lots of shopping, restaurants and playgrounds (I have a 4 year old😅).

Holà ! I was just in Spain for 3 weeks and I can confirm Spanish in Spain and Latin America are NOT completely different. There’s definitely a difference in the accent and some words but the language isn’t completely different. So I think you and your husband shouldn’t have a problem communicating,

Oh yeah we can definitely communicate. But my oldest needs it more than we do.
@@WonderfullyAle - Your oldest will pick up the language much faster since he's going to be immersed in it daily. Kids are truly amazing when it comes to adapting to new environments.

You are absolutely right in Europe its much more common to rent flat rather than house… there is no much house properties listed

We love Spain esp Barcelona. My husband who is an "Americano" loved it there...of course he loves the USA but we both love the lifestyle of Spain. Actually, he would have less problem assimilating than I would! My parents are from Nicaragua so of course we grew up w/ tortillas and beans. When I asked for them in Barcelona at a Spanish restaurant...they looked at me and said they don't serve that here!😂 Of course they don't...I forgot!😂😂 It's the little things...
