Sounds like a southern Baptist dinner with the preacher
I miss Sunday dinner at grandmas.
I was talking to my husband today about Sunday dinner at my Grandma she is almost 94 years old and still lives in her home. ❤
Me too!! My dad would bring us each week (he and my mom were separated but still best friends) and all my aunts, uncles and cousins were there. They lived across the road from a major river and we'd fish all day if the weather was good. If it wasn't, we'd play basketball in the barn until we were called in for dinner. I absolutely loved my childhood!
@@somethingoldsomethingnew2199 my childhood was the best. Cousins, aunts and uncles. Miss them all so much.
I love how much your family enjoys and appreciates your food. In my house they’ve always got a “but” or a criticism no matter how hard you try. You deserve those looks of enjoyment on their faces!❤
I say this all the time but I just love your family. You all are the real deal.
Braden could do Mikey commercials 😂 I think that boy likes everything ❤I would enjoy cooking for him!
Oh my word…THAT CAKE!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
You are so welcome!
That cake looks soooo yummy!
My first thought was to frost with soft cream cheese then turn out 😊
@@cynthiahughes5504 My vote is to serve it with whipped cream, my favorite dessert topping :)
This is a true southern supper! Middle Tennesseean here! Everything looks so delicious!
Can’t wait to try the onions. Sent this video to my sister who is staying with me for the summer. I’m sure she’ll agree that it will need to happen this week.
Thank you bunches, Brooke! 💐🦋🌟 This Sunday Supper Invitation is poppin'! I love 'Southern Styles!' 💚💙💜
Lol I'm going into a diabetic comma just watching that delicious upside down cake. Omg love the onion dish.
😂
The only thing missing is some slices of garden fresh tomatoes.
It is really beautiful all the satisfaction by your family...True...their smile...the light in their eyes...So cute...
We love Sunday suppers here in the south... along with Monday through Saturday suppers to boot. It's not a true supper without a dessert. Looks delicious!
That blackberry upside down cake looks phenomenal!! I don’t know how you got the berries to cover so much of the cake but it is totally impressive!! ❤
They get all sticky and just stay there lol
@@SouthernFrugalMomma Do you sift your flour?
YES! Please show how you can pickled sweet red onions! I love canning!
Nothing better than homemade. I never order fried chicken, meatballs, meat loaf, pork ribs in a restaurant. My mom was that good.
I made 26 jars of black raspberry freezer jam on Friday. I bought the raspberries at the produce auction that the Amish have 3 days a week here in the summer. I didn’t even know about it until Friday morning and went straight there when I heard about it. I can’t wait to go back and get more items now that I know how to do it. The onions and tomatoes looked amazing.
My mom would make Parsley Potatoes from boiled potatoes. Just add butter, salt, parsley to the drained boiled potatoes and mix. It's so easy & yummy.
I never had TN onion and I love onions. Going to try it.
Your food looks sooo delicious.
My mom did too! She called them “fancy potatoes” 😂
I add a bit of real lemon juice to mine. Way back school lunch.
Never thought to add lemon. Will try it
I just love you and you are a Ray of sunshine whenever I watch your videos. You crack me up and are so sweet and kind. You are truly blessed❤
I was raised on and off base in Germany. My mom was German and my dad was American. On Sunday my mom cooked a big meal at lunch and then after we ate we cleared the table and did the dishes. Then we all went for a walk either through the fields, forest or window shopped downtown as all the stores were closed on Sunday depending on where we lived at the time. Then we went home for coffee and cake. Supper was sandwiches and salad.😅
Hi Brooke, I just want to tell you that whole dinner looks delicious. Oh and I forgot to say I live in PA.
I’ve got to say, you are an absolute amazing cook.
I love your videos ❤.
Oh
My
Goodness that 🍰 CAKE!!!!! GIRL!!!!
I second third and fourth that. Wow!❤
You make it look so easy and I know it ain't. Yum enjoy your videos.
You're closing in on 100k, congrats!!
My mom made a big Sunday dinner every Sunday! I've done the same unless we're not home or have plans, I love cooking Sunday dinner.
Love all your tips! I love your quirky personality you’re so funny. And I love the way you explain everything and pretty much detail. It helps someone who’s blind like myself to picture how it needs to be done or what needs to be done to the food. Thanks
We do family dinner almost every Sunday. Wonderful time spent with grow kids and grandkids. Love your videos.
I appreciate how much work that Sunday supper was for you; and you did it with love and joy. ❤
So fun to see your regional dishes! (God bless YT for learning new things 😂)
All of these were new to me, and looked delicious 🎉
Sending love from Ontario 🇨🇦
It’s been YEARS since I’ve had boiled potatoes! My mom made them all the time when we were growing up, but hubby’s mom didn’t. He thinks they are weird, so I never make them. Hmmmm. I should make them anyway!😆 He can’t stand to waste food, so he’ll eat them even if he thinks they’re weird!
Haha! That’s funny that he’ll eat them anyway! My mom made boiled potatoes all the time too. My family loved them. I’m 73 and I still make them
Occasionally!
We had boiled potatoes growing up at least once a week. Leftovers turned into fried potatoes the next day.
Boiled potatoes in this heat?
@@raloufen4292lol😂
Cut them and drench with butter and parsley. If pretty and with butter he may eat it.
Brooke thank you for the inspiration of your cooking. You can feel the love coming through your video's and the pure joy your family has when they are eating your cooking. God Bless ya all.

This brings back memories of great Sundays at home. I loved every recipe and can’t wait to try them all. Thank you so much for sharing your cooking skills all the time with us. So many channels are just hit and miss and in the summer there are so many fresh foods we get that we’ll waste if we can’t figure out what to do with them. YOU ALWAYS COME THROUGH FOR US. Love 💕 what you do.

OOOOOhhhhh, that cake IS gorgeous! Yum! ❤
Girl! That cake is beautiful 😍. I'll bet it tastes even better. Love your channel. Thanks
That all looks amazing! Can I come for Sunday supper lol❤~Starla
I grew up in central Illinois and for some reason that area seems to take after the south in many ways. For example, during the week it was supper but on Sundays it was dinner and it was a bigger, what we thought as fancy meal. It had dessert and extra sides with some type of meat and always potatoes. Definitely full of love.
Everything looks so good, comfort food perfected. Cant wait to try.
Your boys are so cute and the love and respect you each have for one another comes through. Sweet family.
I make my own pickled red onions.... but not always convenient. and I LOVE THEM, they are delicious on almost everything, even cold.
O. M. G. I LOVE your cabinet full of uranium glass glowing in the black light! That is awesome.
Wow !! Brooke you out did yourself , your meal looked delicious and I know it taste amazing ! That homemade cake looked so good ! This meal looks delicious! I’m sure your family will enjoy it!
What a delicious looking, made with love, Sunday Supper!! 🤤 😋
Pickled Onions are easy to make. 1 red onion sliced very thin and even, 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup water, 1 1/2 tbsp sugar, 1 1/2 tsp salt. Combine sugar and salt with vinegar in a jar, add onions and water. Seal jar and leave on the counter for 1 hour, then refrigerate it. Lasts a couple of weeks, assuming you don't eat them all first! Super yummy on everything!
Pickled onions sometimes you can find them here in Pa but it’s seasonal and it usually the Mennonites in the deep middle of no where mountain Pa like where I live 😂😂the both the Amish and Mennonites will make them on request but traveling through the big Amish country usually no on the the pickled onion as always love you and your family God Bless
I personally love fried cabbage. I grew up on it and I can eat it all the time. I would eat it instead of meat. Of course. Not a big meat eater so wouldn't go well in your family. I know how guys are and meet. But that dinner looked delicious

Great job Brooke! Everything looked delicious!
