When I was small, i used to think that hungarian novels dont get translated, but now I am slowly realizing that more people know this book than the people in hungary-
if you havent read The Paul Street Boys, just to inform you, you are missing out on something huge.
this story means youth to me. as a writer, i see that there isnt anything wrog with the book at last. it is really intense, there is no forced romance, everything makes sense. just because you dont get a happy ending, it is a good book. most hungarian books (since the original is hungarian) dont end too well.
also, really nice animatic!
Indeed. In my opinion, the book is perfect lenght, nothing seems to be missing or to be contrived, and it keeps you interested throughout. It's honestly amazing, and no wonder it was my favorite book when i was in middle school ^^

@@nasacat7826 The book was made in 1906 or something, so 20th century if I'm not mistaken, but yeah lets frickin go and save humanity and bring our knowledge to that year XD
I read this book 2 years ago because, of course i was forced to by my school. i really loved it which was quite unexpected, yet, seeing people make animatics, fanart and all of this makes me so happy!

It's supposed to be cut as a trailer, since i wasn't even sure if i should make this into a comic or mini episodes, or even do it at all. But i ultimately decided to drop it because of the responsibilities and not having the backing off of which i can afford my time spent on it ^^'

When I had my study in Budapest, i was in relationship with this big Hungarian guy.
Told him I want "A Pál utcai fiúk" novel as my birthday present and he gave me one. Since that day, i called him Boka and he also called me Nemecsek for some times.
Ah, i guess I miss my Nagy Boka 😞

I live you so much for this. This book is my new hyperfixation. I like inspecting the smallest details and headcannoning characters from my reading as the whole rainbow which brought me to the conclusion of bokacsek. I’ve fallen in love with this book and I’m so glad there are people that agree with me^_^
