This was really a great performance by Moorer. Going into hostile territory and regaining the title after George Foreman jerked him and his team around on a rematch.
Do you blame Foreman? He got finessed into a fire fight and got knocked out.
Axel hatte einfach den falschen Trainer. Dieser Manfred Wolke mit seiner Defensivboxerei im Schwergewicht war einfach das letzte! Top Kampf gegen einen der damals besten Schwergewichtler der Welt.

I thought Foreman beat Schultz fair and square, but it was a close fight. Moorer was great!

Lol George Foreman landed more punches but yeah Axel routed Foreman.
This one depends on how highly you score jabs. Axel had much better straits and hooks but Moorer's jab was beautiful.

Not easy to go Germany and win a fight on points. But Axel went to Las Vegas and had the same experience against Big George. I don´t know, Axel was a solid fighter, but i can´t even rank him higher than Brian Nielsen from Denmark. That guy always fought in Denmark infront of happy Danes. But Brian could stop other fighters. Was close in three bouts for the championship for Axel. Ironically i think it was even more clear that he won against Botha than Foreman, and against Botha the fight was in Germany. And Botha didn´t pass a doping test after the fight, thats why this fight happened. I don´t think this fight was that close. Moorer 116-112 for me.

Totally disagreed with the judges, here. Although I also thought that Moorer won the fight, I thought he totally schooled Schulz. I wasn't impressed with anything Schulz displayed, here.
Same. Moorer landed the cleaner and more impactful punches all night. And far more of them. I didn't think this fight was close at all.

In the Foreman fight Axel won basically every round, in this fight it was close and if you prefer jabs you could give a lot of close rounds to Moorer.
