    We generally use the word India only when we speak in English. When speaking in a regional language we mostly use Bharat. So it's not actually any big deal for us, because it just feels more natural.
    It's effect is more like the mistake we commit at the beginning of a new year when we write the previous year while writing the date.

      INDIA name has been used for over 2000 years by many foreign ancient civilizations referring to the Indus River civilization. British didn't give us this name, They already knew this region by that name due to its very long history. Read history and get your facts right before commenting. I am Proud to be Indian and also proud to be called a Bharatiya, but the BJP spreading misinformation to make Indiasound like it was given only by the British, We have been using it since Independence to represent a united country, just because the opposition Alliance named it INDIA and many people just blindly following it, is plain stupidity.

    The Constitution says "India, that is Bharat" so we as the civilians always knew that and have been using the names interchangeably for years but since during International events Bharat was never mentioned so its nartural that a lot of people didn't even know the name. So the Govt. is doing right by using Bharat at par with India so others too get acquainted with the names and over the years will also be aware of our identity.

I know constitution better than you but again internationally we were known as INDIA, and suddenly the usage of the name Bharat without any prior notice or even informing the citizens with a valid reason or whether everyone accepting it or not is outright fascism which will cripple the NDA govt in coming days. Ofcourse no hard denying Bharat is the most authentic name India should have adopted post independence, they didnt and theres a reason behind it. There was a sense of pride that theres a subcontinent exists in that name and a whole ocean is there named after India, an honor which no other countries in the World being blessed with. Moreover India has travelled so far to this day coming up as a well known brand and flipping the name just shows lack intelligence and a fascist behaviour. This country belongs to every citizen of this nation, ur renaming a country not a street or a state. Permission to do so was the most natural thing to do. India or Bharat is not owned by NDA UPA or any political party/alliance/political figure!!!!
      People may find every god damn thing Modi does is amusing or patriotic, which exactly defines what fascism is, the exact thing what Hitler tried to accomplish!!!!!!

      @harshitaprusty6640 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@male-efficient7262 i see what u r trying to say but..
      First, yes the Govt. could hve said it prior to using the names. Things could hve been clearer but saying he is fascist makes no sense.
      Second, the name revival debate arose in the Lok Sabha 3yrs back when there was no I.N.D.I.A alliance. Plz go and check u will find recordings of the discussion.
      Third, the Govt. knows where to use what. If u see the G20 summit then both names were given equal importance. The govt isn't dumb to eradicate one name completely cause over the years it has created a name for itself.
      Fourth, the foreign minister clearly said, there's no such need to make this a big deal both of these are names of our country.
      Fifth, it was the biggest mistake when the nation wasn't named Bharat after independence. Should hve done it sooner. Still the govt isn't eradicating India name at all. They are simply giving equal importance to both names.
      Sixth, who gave the opposition the right to foul play by using the nation's name in a crooked way. What kind of blatant hypocrisy is it. If they are so concerned about the nation's credibility then how dare they use the name India in their political campaign. Using mere dots between letters doesn't give them rights to do their politics in the nation's name. They have nothing left to attack the govt. hence creating this fuss.
      Seventh, this is clearly my observation, the opposition has a lot of problem with the name Bharat especially Pappu's party. Reason being they aren't this nation's well wishers. Had they been such nationalists then Rahul Gandhi won't be hanging out with Chinese ambassador in private settings.
      Last, there will be a session held on 18th. Let's wait and look forward to the same without throwing hate towards the Govt.

    Our country is known by many names, including Bharat, Hindustan, and India. The journey of the names 'Hindustan' and 'India' is intertwined with the ancient 'Sindhu' River, as Persians, while interacting with the people of the Indus Valley, coined the term 'Hindu' from the word 'Sindhu.' This term later evolved into 'Hindustan' in Persian. The 'Hindu' label eventually reached Greek as 'Indos,' referring to the land beyond the Indus River, and eventually transformed into 'India' over time.
    In contrast, the name 'Bharat' comes from 'Bharatavarsha' or 'Bharatakhand,' and it can be traced back to ancient Hindu texts like the Puranas, such as the Vishnu Purana, Bhagavata Purana, Mahabharata, Ramayana, and more, making it deeply rooted in our ancient scriptures. While 'Hindustan' and 'India' are names from external sources, 'Bharat' finds its origins in our rich Indian heritage.

      @gaganchawara9167 Před 11 měsíci +2

      Also, The term 'Hindu' was originally used by Persians to refer to the people living in the region around the Indus River. From this term, word 'Hinduism' came, And later people following Hinduism started being referred as hindus I guess. However, the true name for Hinduism is 'Sanatan Dharma', and its followers are referred to as 'Sanatanis'. Although these terms are not as commonly used today, not even in Bharat.

    In constitution of India, the 1st Article is written as ‘India, that is Bharat’. So both the names are part of our constitution and one can use any of it. We Indians (Bharatiya) prefer to use Bharat as it is our name since very old time and we are proud of it.

    Guys Bali declaration means the declaration agreed on UKRAINE matter in the previous year's G20 summit in the capital city of Indonesia which is Bali. And NEW DELHI is the capital city of BHARAT and this year's declaration on various matters is named after that. Nothing to do with "new" or "old".
