you should try it on a 20 amp socket if you have one, it might not make a difference on thin metal but when welding thick metal it makes a difference. on a side note you should use a 12awg extension cord (if you are using one) due to the high current draw
ive had this welder for along time now. it was on a 20amp plugged right into the outlet in the video. I was using 6013 rods but it likes 7018 much better
Yea gloves are cheap. I don't see why anyone would go without them. Yea you can weld without them but it ain't good for your skin. But just from reading your response to most of the people giving you this tip and your "welding technique" you are what we call a rod burner, no welder lol
Thomas Dowd I've built some pretty serious shit with a welder from spool gun to mig to stick i work in a excavation/gravel pit I've welded buckets and conveyors I'm not just a rod burner so stfu. this was when i was like 16 too
I've been around electricity and the only way low DC voltage can shock you that I've found out is with wet skin. welder runs around 24 volts. I never wear gloves when I weld
I Brown well you can fuck yourself. i was 15 years old be thankful i took time and effort to do this kind of stuff Vs sitting on a couch looking at a screen. fyi the welder still works perfectly and i use it on a regular basis i really like it. some people need to lighten the fuck up.
Nice!
