    Could you make a video showing the reticle through the triggercam at all the different zoom levels? It would be beneficial to be able to see how easy it is to pick up the reticle at different magnifications. Thanks, great video!

      @@e.vallejo3887 no it should dial well past that depending on your cartridge. I believe the electronics work for around 33 moa from zero. So with any big game cartridge you are likely able to dial to 1000 yards plus.

    Looking at getting a 200203 ph 4x20?. Just sent my vx-5hd. Back to leupold less than a year old looks like moisture inside the scope. The scope has never seen a drop of water of any kind! Has only been on my home range on my shooting bench. Can’t wait to see what leupold saying about the situation. Nothing from them yet They’ve had it about four days.

    I’m looking closely at this one because it solves an issue I’ve run into in the field. Trying to see the turret to dial in a box blind in low light requires coming off the scope and looking closely at the turret in near dark conditions. This will allow me to dial and shoot. I like it.
    How’s the glass? Clear and bright even in low light?

  • @CabinOnTheWater
    @CabinOnTheWater Před 6 měsíci +2

    So you still need some sort of range finder in a hunting situation? Of course your targets will be unknown until you range them correct? I assume you just dial the scope to the range of the target and fire. So if the target is at 394 yards you dial to 394 and fire center mass?

  • @trevorkolmatycki4042

    Awesome video 👍you were very informative unlike other folks that yap about nonsense shooting, rifle, ammo and ballistics talk. You were basic and to the point . Thanks man. How much did you get the scope for? I also heard that scope can be illegal in some states? And why? Because it’s kind of cheating?
    Thanks again for your vid and super awesome👍👍👍👏👏👏

      Street price on those is $999 I beleive. Deals can be found for better on Black Friday and the like I’m sure.
      As to the why of varying legality by states, it just comes down to what that state views as ‘fair chase’ within their game commission or some times voters box. The why is ambiguous at best. Definitely check your states laws before adding to cart.

    • @josemgardner
      @josemgardner Před 8 měsíci

      The hud stays in place and the same size regardless of magnification. So it’s perfectly and equally useable at all magnification ranges.

      @@josemgardner I was more concerned with the triggercam 2.1 not showing the hud but I guess makes sense since you're zooming in with the scope not the camera. Thanks for taking the time to reply man. I need to go shoot a match with you guys one of these days!

    • @josemgardner
      @josemgardner Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@tiroalargadistancia4293 that makes sense. interesting observation. and correct, the triggercam doesnt zoom. but if you notice, I have the triggercam turned 90 degrees to the left rather than straight up and down on the scope body. that is because of the triggercam housing faces up and down, you get a landscape type view and it actually does cut off the HUD. but turned 90 degrees to the left, I get a portrait type view and can see the hud and the full elevation of the reticle without being in the way of running my bolt handle. This is the same reason I turn it 90 degrees to the right on my AR. it allows me to get the whole up and down view of the reticle when doing fast engagements with holdovers and is also out of the way of using my charging handle with my left hand. Great question!

      @@josemgardner awesome, I was wondering why you had it setting on the side vs on top of the eyepiece. Glad I asked though, I will need to do the same to show the entire reticle, important on videos shooting hold over techniques. I'm guessing you edit the video to rotate the image 90° since you're recording horizontally, but that's an easy fix. Thanks again 👍👍

    O Kay so I noticed your suppressor is insulated does that meant the scope can't Handel temp change in front of it. And most important to me is it going to work with android. I shoot 1500 on a regular basis and need to know how it Handel's that. Also is it sensitive to recoil I hardly ever shoot less than 6.5 prc but prefer 300 Norma at 2800.

    • @josemgardner
      @josemgardner Před 9 měsíci

      So the can wrap is because I knew I was gonna shoot quite a bit that day including long strings of fire (like 10+ rounds in 2-5 minutes). But for hunting I don’t run the can cover. It does just fine for a few rounds for sure.
      I am all but positive it works for Android. It should not be an issue.
      I haven’t taken it past 800 but it should have no issue with that. Past 800 I would just be sure to Push accurate weather settings to the scope for the time of shooting rather than just at the beginning of the day.
      And recoil shouldn’t bother it a bit. Just make sure you have good rings.

      Hi Tom. I think you are referring to the eliminator. It basically ranges the animal and then populates a dot on your reticle for where your hold will be. It is incredible technology. But it targets a different hunter than the veracity ph. It targets someone who doesn’t want a seperate range finder, probably doesn’t want to dial. Just point and shoot. I think you can’t really dial this scope either, just hold.
      The veracity ph is for the hunter who will carry a rangefinder of some sort, typically Carries hard dope or a ballistics app on their phone , and wants to simplify one step of that process. With tbe ballistics built in, their is no memorizing dope, or doing the math between the distances on your data card, or just wants to be faster. Dial the scope to whatever distance your rangefinder says and bam. Done. Also In the case the battery dies or electronics go wonky (as all electronics are liable to do) this scope functions perfectly fine and similar to a standard veracity 4-20. Dial or hold either one. Hope that helps!
