They hired a Dude making brutal, dark, nihilistic comics full of death, despair and surrealist humor about a homocidal Maniac who murders people to make Childrens TV. What would be perfectly in character is that he actually decides he didn´t hear and is so self assured and full of himself it just becomes retrocatively reality to him.

As a man with ADHD *_and_* Auditory Processing Disorder, trying to self motivate to become successful AND listen to your mentor without maiing yourself look slow or stupid, is harder than trying to paint a big wall with nothing but a toothbrush in under 30 minutes.
So the reason Zim never listens to a word anyone says, is because he actually has hearing problems?!
