  • Ever wanted to go on a backpacking adventure around the Philippines?
Me and my mate James are heading to the Philippines to travel for 3 weeks, but does it live up to the hype?
We're planning to check out 5 different islands: Manila, Boracay, Cebu, Siargau and Palawan, and hopefully find out if it really is more fun in the Philippines.
Highlights of this travel documentary include partying at Mad Monkey Hostel in Boracay, swimming with whale sharks in Oslob, Cebu, checking out the Aguinid Falls, canyoning at Kawasan falls, exploring Siargao Island and island hopping around El Nido.

Cheers to everyone who's watched this video! Just a quick correction, I said $20,000 but it was actually $20 million that the US bought the Philippines for.

The Philippines is one of the best places to go backpacking in Asia. Friendly Filipinos, awesome food, and lots of wonderful places to go explore and make memories.

James is that spontaneous lad who’s willing to go an extra mile to know the place & its people. He’s a character!

I love this vlog. Very raw, no fancy drones, cinematic editing and such, just the real Philippines.

You are not welcome here in the Philippines as a guest. You are welcome as a family. That's how we treat everyone. 😉

Thank you for making a travel video that gives an honest view of travelling the country. It's helped me see that travelling throughout the islands is time consuming and that Phillippines is a lot more packed with tourists than I thought it was. Your recap at the end was really helpful in me planning my trip

Watching from the US, I have been viewing Philippine travel vlogs and they have all been in the same places you have already visited. There are several white sand beaches in Luzon aside from Palawan, that you can visit with lesser travel and better transport that are only a few hours by bus or you can drive from Manila. They are in Zambales, Batangas, Bataan , Hundred islands, Pangasinan, and all the way North tip of South China Sea, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. It’s a little far, but you can also visit Batanes via land or air.

I visited the Philippines 10 years ago for the first time. Never understood why it was so underrated at that time with so few tourists.

This is before it was cleaned up. Today, Boracay is much beautiful and clean.
