This is why we shouldn't sell American land, companies or farms to foreign countries.
I was involved in this issue in Missouri, the bad actors were the Missouri real estate lobby. Imagine THAT!
But what if an American company or person doesn't wish to buy a company or farm at the asking price? Then the American seller gets screwed. It is extremely difficult to find a one size fits all solution.
No foreign company should own any companies making ammo.
Consumers of the famed Scandinavian manufacturer / distributor NORMA -- having sold to tens of millions of satisfied American customers since 1902 -- heartily disagree.
Strongly suggest one 'thinks things through' before making such a blatant, blanket, misinformed statement -- which upon the most elementary review qualifies as imbecilic. Just because American politics and certain arenas of corporate / corrupt American commerce are eff'd up to the _nth degree in matters related to DESTROYING our sacred Second Amendment ['sacred' -- like all ten of the Bill of Rights] doesn't mean reliable, proven, friendly international manufacturers of state-of-the-art arms and ammunition are our enemy.
Control moving out of us hands to a foreign conglomerate not good for anyone 😮
The sale of Vista Outdoors is a matter of national security. There isn’t a country in the world that would try to invade the United States. The reason is because the population is ARMED TO THE TEETH. We need to protect the ability of our citizens to access ammunition without the blessing of a foreign entity.
The amount of ammunition in US citizens hands is insane, nobody knows for sure but estimates are in the tens of trillions of rounds.

I own Vista stock. I am also am ammunition dealer. After my discharge from the Army, I drove a beer truck for three years. We as Americans seem to have a habit of selling out to the highest bidder. Miller, Coors and Anheiser Busch all sold out to foreign companies years ago. And so will Vista, it seems.

They have honestly been around as a country or " republic for a while. At least over 50 years. Czech Republic.
Don’t leave yourself vulnerable to the whims of the mega rich or foreign governments or our own government. INVEST IN AMMO. Even if you’re older like myself you can pass down your ammo stockpile to your kids and grand kids.

Vista outdoors owned a lot more than ammo. They own ammo components too. These big conglomerates have to be done away with so if one goes everything does not go down with it.
That means that the EU will control that ammo.

Lake City AAP is limited to calibers used by the U.S. Military: 5.56, 7.62, 6.8 SPC, 9mm, 50 cal and 20mm. They are set up to LAP only these rounds. While they have the real estate to do other civilian rounds, the tooling would cost a fortune; something the Government is not willing to spend.
They see the writing on the wall, and are getting out before they are forced out by the ???????

Mark never seems to integrate capitalism into his predictions or concerns. By closing offices They’re streamlining and reducing overhead to get a higher multiple on the sale. There will be other deep pockets that will seize on the supply demand imbalance and start manufacturing ammunition. For example PSAs AAC brand. How difficult would it be for them to build multiple additional plants if there was huge demand. Not to mention endless other potential business entities that would look at the shortage as a money making possibility. Finally, is Mark suggesting that the US Government take control of Vista ( by telling them who they can and cannot do business with )? That doesn’t sound like our system of governance. May I humbly suggest that if you’re deeply concerned with future shortages jump into reloading with both feet and don’t look back. Currently there are ample supplies of all components and a Lee starter reloading setup is pretty cheap. Good deal right now are small pistols primers at Norma’s web site for $50 per 1000. I’ve been using them and they work fine😊

I heard some time back Lake City was the most used ammo n mass shootings and they wanted to stop selling it to civilians n mass quantities r maybe completely. Honestly that’s what I have mostly n my stockpile. M193 5.56. It’s great ammo and was pretty cheap at one time. 420 cans 159.00 bucks I guess that’s gone forever.☹️
