Was first introduced to the Scottish Highlands in that old 80s movie 'The Highlander'. Sean Connery was in it. He's Scottish!
One of the things I really love about Scotland is their Scottish bagpipes. Love the sound of it, esp when it's playing "Amazing Grace", my favorite hymn!
the 10 per cent you are on about is the locals who belong here are fed up of camper vans ,esp when they leave there rubbish and human waste just dumped instead of using proper facilities up in the highlands

I grew up navigating narrow roads like you were driving today with shear drops down one side and my older brother, who would eventually become a race car driver, driving and my mother yelling, "Slow Down!!" We all survived. The scenery is beautiful!! Love Koda thanking the other drivers for pulling over and how sweet he was to share his ice cream with papa.
Koda is such a bright kid. He makes me laugh. The best times I've had with my son is when we go camping up in northern california, similar to what you guys are doing right now. I'm two weeks away from dropping him off to college wow! Stay safe and cherish these moments because they go fast!

Glad you had fun, but we have a big sign at the bottom of the Bealach na Ba warning drivers of larger vehicles to take the alternative route for good reason.

Honestly well done for doing the Bealach Na Ba pass…I’ve driven that road in a car several times and I’m used to our roads, and would still hesitate to do it in a camper. Impressive

Great to see you managed to get the nice weather, that's the thing about here in Scotland, you can never predict how the weather will turn out. Nonetheless, you guys look like you's have been loving it regardless of what the weather has been like which is always good. And you're right about the drivers mostly being courteous, which you's are a friendly easy going family.
As for the Gàidhlig (Gaelic), you typically find there are different words that often have the same meaning, I suppose like English. Cùil (which I'm sure is pronounced "cool") means corner, and Gàidhlig being a Verb Subject Object language it reads sometimes in that context from the second word to first, so I think it means 'Corner Cafe.'
The Isle of Skye, I should mention, is actually home to the popular college _'Sabhal Mòr Ostaig'_.
As for the van, yes, it's convenient and you do have a lot. It's something I wish for in the future as a photographer, especially landscape given the weather changes so much here. It's typically British weather.

Things are going pretty well in my North Yorkshire village. The sun is shining, it's 23.5C, a BBQ later and possibly a short walk to my local pub. Peaceful, friendly and fun. No need to be concerned about what's going on here!

Rubicon black cherry and raspberry is my favourite drink. Very refreshing and as it is basically sparkling water its not unhealthy like some other drinks.
There are latest model vans that has more well designed spaces out there for sure like Mercedes or other brand names just being truthful the van is a bit old model. Impressive driving 👍George . Fantastic views and beautifully taken scenic spots especially by the waters. 👍👍👍

Why are the Scottish country roads there so narrow? Hardly fits 2 vehicles. At least here in Philippines our roads are wider in the provinces. Also u need to rent those American type motorhomes as they are bigger for big people like u guys.
The reason why they are narrow is that they are ancient going back to Celtic and Pictish times, widening them would be prohibitively expensive for the Scottish devolved government to foot, and they fall on protected land.

In the news...U.K has fallen!!!
Still here! Life in Yorkshire continues and last week we were in Edinburgh (Scotland) where things were normal.
I understand in Middlesbrough there was a group of people causing some trouble for a few hours but the locals came out the next day with their brushes, rubbish bags etc and tidied up in a couple of hours.
The world still turns. The shops are still open . Middlesbrough FC played Swansea City in the first game of the season 3 days ago, and all went well (including a winning performance). The week before Edinburgh I was in England's border country, Northumberland to be precise, and all was fine there, too. The beach at Beadnell, the castles at Bamburgh (5 miles away) and Alnwick (10 miles). Weather was good. People were friendly and all was calm.
I guess, for example, life in downtown Detroit, San Francisco or Seattle doesn't faithfully reflect the life in rural USA or peaceful cities and towns. And the same may be true in many other countries.

No more eating on a fancy restaurant during your stay in Manila and your island hoping on a five star hotel. Don’t you guys miss it living like queen and king.
Scotland is the only country where Coca Cola isn’t the number one fizzy drink. Diet irn bru is rank though.
Paused the vid on 6.49. Beautiful sightscenes...but the soundtrack...uhm...not so. As much I find the Scottish Highlands beautiful...I'm looking forward to your next Philippines and/or South-East Asia trips in (hopefully) nearest future.
