Originally Sisig and Beef Salpicao were categorized as bar foods, along with Gambas (a sautéed spicy shrimp). They were great comfort and side dish with beers and liquors and is a great conversational topic with drinking buddies, before making its way as a meal dish.

We’ve been there in 2018 and it was really hot. Also, Macau is the most unfriendliest country I’ve been to. Maybe because I’m Asian? Not sure. Lol

Big improvement in Macau. My last visit in Macau 1988. I might visit Macau again instead of HK next time to see how it looks like now.

Macau is the Las Vegas of Asia. Been to Venetian a few years back and it’s a copy of the one in Vegas.

Liversauce is the perfect sauce for pork lechon.

The char kuey teow while delicious, surprised us bc they put clams in it. My 3 kids don’t like clams so i learned to order it without 👌. Lalaport is in Pudu where there are so many kopitiams (Chinese coffee shops) + hawkers centers. The hainan kopi they serve would be much more malay than the lalaport mall coffee you got and it’s strong, delicious and only $1. We looked fwd to coffee in pudu every morn. We also had pork buns, kaya toast w/ soft boiled egg, apam balik (peanut pancake), and pinapple tarts, and char suey mee + curry mee while staying in pudu on different morns, all delicious chinese malay breakfast offerings in hawker centers.. We never went to jalan alor bc it’s designed for tourists, more touristy prices…not where locals eat bc of prices. We also stayed in kampung baru and had some amazing malay foods such as roti canai, nasi lemak, nasi campur, ayam sate, pulut mangaa + manga kerabu. All so delicious. For eg, the pulut mangaa you got (mango sticky rice) was 6 ringgit in kampung baru but i believe you paid $15 myr on jalan alor. So if you go bk, definitely try kampung baru or pudu restaurants + street food. I love malay food + can’t wait to go back!

I've always had these back when I was still in the Philippines where I was born and raised. I had been living here in the US for 21 years and always crave for these whenever I come to visit family back in Manila. Some dishes like sinigang, champorado, and leche flan I can make myself right here. Good thing there are a few Filipino restaurants here, but of course nothing beats home made.

UK MEATS are way Premium than PH🇵🇭, but how U cook it with just simple condiments in your kitchen to get Delicious Dish.. Leave the Extravagant Garnish to the Hotels & Restaurants coz it's their way to attract Guests.. Of course those were added to the cost of the meal..

That was amazing. I loved watching Koda take in the light show. He wasn't scared just totally absorbed in what was happening around him. Pretty cool that he noticed his coloring mat had a picture of the tower he could see out the window. I had no idea what Macao would be like. So interesting so far.
