As an Austrian it is such a pleasure to see those "experts" resorting to blame it on the ref. Our boys guided by a great expert and exceptional human being that Rangnick is, showed what's possible if you have a vision, commitment, passion and NO fear - attractive and successful football. The first place in this group is well deserved. Not because the others were bad but Austria was just that good.

To the guy on the bottom right with the northern accent: If Weghorst should have gotten a penalty, then the second goal of the Dutch shouldn't have been allowed as well. Not because of a handball, which it obviously wasn't, but because of Weghorst's elbow to the neck of the Austrian defender before Depay's shot, like Weghorst always does, when he jumps for a header.

Austria played without key players, like Alaba, Xaver Schlager, Danso, Mwene, Alexander Schlage, Konrad Laumer and still beat the Netherlands, while the clowns at ESPN blame the Ref, the only bad Ref in that group was in the Austria France game, where the Ref was biased towards France

missing david alaba (and xaver schlager) does hurt we saw sometimes we (im austrian) lack a bit of cordination in the box but besides that we fight we never give up and we play an amazing offensive pressing witch is a joy to watch. we sometimes make some errors as well in passing and optimistic plays but whatever the focus on teamplay does outdo those mistakes. we not the world best players but we are one of the best teams i would say. lets go austria i wanna see you in the finals ;)
And the press in England treated Ralf like a joke at united and our board did nothing....and now they trying to get rid of our new manager...absolute🤡🤡🤡 the lot of them including these lot in america

The Dutch plays this outdated slow build up with side to side passing. They left to much space in the midfield and left their defense very exposed. Even if they had Frankie available it is the style of play that's problematic . No pressing lots of space and a slow tempo is a model for failure. The space between defense midfield and strikers should be closer more compact. The Dutch if you old enough and watched them play in 1974 and 1988 kept things tight pressed the opposition and play at a tempo reminiscent of what Austria is doing today. Koeman's tactics are outdated. The game has moved on and is waiting for no team regardless of so called reputation.
