The biggest surprise so far: Austria! Yes, we've seen their potential under Rangnick, but the way they deliver is outstanding. If they win their next game, they move up to the group of possible contenders for the title! And as a German to our Austrian neighbours (that are always happy to see Germany loose, I call that an inferiority complex): this is by far the best Austrian team I have ever seen, and I wish you all the best. Good football is just good football! And now that you have a German coach ( ;) ) it looks better than ever!
Portugal is already looking not so hot any more. Georgia is good as well, but they have no good alternative to Pepe, who has been good so far tbh. But against favourites a slow 40 year old Pepe will be a danger. He will have to start fouling to catch up, and he is very good at getting reds since always…
