I think it's supposed to be weak in a sense compared to a Carnivore/Predator who in real life and in Beastars eats the prey/Herbivores

Know what would make tem’s death more impactful? Showing him before he got eaten. While watching this whole anime I forgot that someone died
I didn't forget, which only made me wonder why it seemed like all the characters did.

it was on purpose, I guess, on my view ir shows how in real life people always seem terrified or sad about some impactant deaths, but ir only lasts a few days, and then everybody forgets it and live their life as always, 'cause a death really only matters for those involved, for everyone else it's just "Oh, well, somebody died, poor thing", but when the thing matters, it's shown again in the story, and that's season two

The girl isn't an Alpaca, but a Merino Sheep , also a wool animal so she felt more in danger than others
*As this was pointed out, she's an Angora goat, there is a Merino sheep much later in the story
Isn't a merino sheep either, her name is Els and she is an Angora goat, I think you confuse her with another character that gets introduced in the manga

While she is an angora goat I feel she can still be comparable to the alpaca. Angora goats, while they don't produce wool, they produce mohair and cashmere. Basically they are still a species used for their hair similar to how sheep and alpacas are used for wool.
Though the mix-up is common both in real life and the show. Angora goats do look a little bit like sheep.

"the animals are sexualized, which is nothing new" eeh to be fair it's as sexualized as any other soap opera where some character cheats every other week and is caught in the act.
And later in the story, sexuality becomes a crucial part of the story and the theme... so it does have a purpose.

@@OtakuJuanma2 Well it makes sense though. Fire force and Soul eater are mainly supposed to be shounen anime. Meaning that the story is focused more on action rather then romance. Which is why Maki and Soul never really got that much romance tension and when they did it would be something short.

I haven't watched this anime yet, I wanted to get a review/summary to see if I'd actually watch it. Just when I saw the cover and heard the beginning of the video I thought deer guy (Louis, I think) and the wolf (Legoshi) were gay lovers, but it seems like that isn't what's going to happen and am now immensely disappointed.

I've heard that conservationists hate pandas because they see them as a waste of time and money that could be put into others things. Because if humans hadn't stepped in, pandas most likely would have died out by now, and the only reason why humans helped is because pandas seem cute to us.

I think the reason this show is good to me is because Lara Jill Miller is a Godly voice actress and her presence voicing Haru makes this show automatically more epic in my book.

It does, 4 are panels devoted to it while he's explaining "the process". The only thing they somewhat cut out is his rambling monologue about "the process" (though bits and pieces of it are still in) and several of the more extreme scenes were filtered in the black-background or skipped entirely.

Don't worry they add more love triangles and give up on others, then everything is somewhat in their rightful place except Haru for some reason attracts simps that kinda wanna kill her even without knowing the relationship she has with Legoshi only for that to also make it 100% more appealing to them to have her for themselves. Beastars was my anime of the year in 2019, beating awaited [by me] shows like Mob Psycho 100, Jojo's, Vinland Saga, the first half of Bojack Horseman's 6th season and even Infinity Train among many others. I can't wait to have some time for the next season.

Beastars uses the animals and their ideology as a representation of what kind of story they're telling. But just ignoring it and labeling anyone who enjoys the story as a "furry" feels like you're just discrediting the creative choice.😒
