- Medical marijuana is becoming more and more popular in the world of pain management. It has shown to reduce chronic pain and eliminate the need for addictive or intensive pain treatment. Ethan Ruby, founder of Theraplant, talks about his company and the different uses of cannabis for pain management.
U r so right it has changed my life I was near immobile with sciatica, degenerative disc and severe arthritis and severe depression and PTSD I began u months ago using marijuana I have gone from using a walker barely able to go ten feet to bathroom literally immobile no shopping no housecleaning etc.. I now just put in a garden hoeing and lifting bags of soil bending ,walking across yard doing everything involved with planting and moving dirt it is a miracle indica at nite lifts my depression and sativa thru day 2x keeps my energy level up as I have chronic fatigue and thyroid disease I am on disability and marijuana has given my life back can't say enough there r no words I refuse to take opiates
What type of cannabis are you using? Edible? Vape?
You sound like me if I wasn’t working. I’ve been blessed to be able to work with similar issues, failed back surgery syndrome other joints so on and on. Cannabis is a God send and needs to be legal for home grow everywhere. The prices can make this natural medicine unobtainable for many. No insurance yet cover it so it remain cost prohibitive for many who will benefit from it
So no one will divulge what exactly they are on !!!
I’m currently taking an infused gel tab that contains an infused coconut oil infused with keif. I make them myself and it knocks the neuropathy right out!
Need this for chronic non cancer spine disability pain
Thank you for sharing this information and raising awareness. The largest current peer reviewed studies indeed are showing that THC in minimal amounts and in the correct ratios to CBD are helping people like me with chronic pain, and provide a deep sleep that is so important to our healing process. I only need 25 mg THC each evening to effectively manage my lower back, neck and peripheral neuropathy pain as a result of post COVID and autoimmune disorder complications (I have a doctor's prescription for this). I cannot tolerate sugar laden edibles (hard to get a consistent dose and very inflammatory). One bowl of certified organic indica flower in my medically certified vaporizer does the trick without any respiratory problems or other side effects. The pain relief has allowed me to get back to a regular exercise rehabilitation program and I feel stronger every day for it.
25 mg is a pretty lot. Did you mean 2.5mg? That’d be the lowest effective dose for many.
What strain do you use for pain?
@@larrytate1657it's not.
Excellent video, thank you Dr. Azar! 😊🙏
Thanks for the video.
Wow very informative
IT helps!! Thanks your very informative and smart
This is an introductory to cannabis as medicine. If you are a healthcare professional with no knowledge of cannabis, this is a reasonable introduction. If you are practicing cannabis medicine, there’s nothing new here and this is not going to tell you anything you don’t already know.
If pain clinics insist upon violating people's rights I pray they go down in flames. With God's will
It's the DEA and the government scum that needs to burn (one day they will) who have taken it upon themselves to play God with peoples lives and right now all the pharmacies can't fill prescriptions, because once again this year the SCUM have decided to lower what can be dispensed and ordered while sending people into horrible withdrawals, more intense pain and suicide.
patients has no rights
Virtually impossible to get any of this help, or even get the idea taken seriously in the UK
It work's for me but I got to break the law to get help why either brake the law or get addicted to pain pills hell of a choice or live in hell with pain what would you do
You do whatever it takes to relieve stress! Here in Colorado, we have politicians who regulate everything but the product itself and they’ve never consumed cannabis! What could possibly do wrong? Here in Colorado legislators are pushing cannabis back underground because of mismanagement!
@@jongray4828 i know here In NC two many old fu..ers that think it's the devil's work
You may think you’re dying but you’ll clear the fridge when you wake up. 😂
Yes i have neuropathy ( not back pain just limbs ) that is currently treated with Pregabalin and think i can substitute this as it is more effective at pain relief I have a script for this and using 20 percent THC Sativa. Maybe not entirely replace but a long way towards stopping this ( Pregabalin ) powerful drug that has some dependence and tolerance issues, i am not paid to say this by any company and i am not a doctor, it just works for myself ( try it for yourselves ) and has a massive sleep aid on my health that is important when living with people with neurodiversity ( keeps me awake at night with banging on ceiling sometimes ) as i live in a public housing complex with lots of ill people.

You don’t need a car to hit you you just need severest of ankylosing Spondylitis, how can this play in here?
What about tourettes?
People touting this are not doctors. They usually are paid for making these claims or have some reason for saying it works.
Would that make financial sense from a business perspective?

Personally speaking, I do use medical cannabis (esophageal adenocarcinoma)
but it mostly just helps me to laugh and smile when I've had a rough day
...which is how medical cannabis helps me with my pain 🙂
Never was a smoker of this garbage and after the the doctor insisting a few years ago for me to try it, then paying him out a pocket $50.00 bill that gives me permission from the state (which has to be renewed every year) to legally purchase and use, not only did I find it was extremely too expensive for me to afford and not worth a shit for helping relieve one iota of my pain. It's all a damn SCAM to further line the pockets of doctors and the state.
