      SCE2AUX2 if you're talking about Pete Carol's call at the end, I absolutely agree with you 100%. That was such a great call. Carol is a coach that likes to surprise the other team and that was just such a great call. The only reason people despise of it is because it didn't work. If that play did work, everyone would be saying it was a great call. So I agree with you completely

    • @sce2aux464
      @sce2aux464 Před 7 lety +5

      The obvious call would have been Lynch up the middle. A pass would have worked to save time, and would have been a good idea if it had been a fade. The fact that Russell seemed to be taking his time may have tipped off the Pats to anticipate the pass.

    if you watch the last play..especially diff angles/videos..you can see malcolm butler reading that play perfectly..what a tremendous heads up play..probably the best single play by a player in super bowl history!....he also made a GREAT defensive play the play before the last play..but got an unlucky break with the tip ball

    • @josephcoleman57
      @josephcoleman57 Před 7 lety +17

      Butler made 4 outstanding plays in the fourth quarter. On the pass after lynchs catch that got them to the 50 on 1st and 10 Wilson threw another one to Kearse its not shown here but he made a great play to knock it down. Huge veteran like skills. Then on the ball Kearse caught like you said he got way up and knocked the ball away if dummy Harmon went for the ball or at least kicked it instead of leaping over everyone Malcolm would have been credited with a great break-up

      I'm glad you said that about the previous play (kearse's catch) THAT was probably the best defensive play ever that failed Butler goes up and he's like five feet off the ground, parallel to the gound, fully extended to get a hand on the ball and knocks it away only because it hits Kearse's knee it bounced into his hands was it a catch . Just a spectacular effort. Could not have been played better.

    Seahawks fans complain about missed penalty calls in this game, but let me tell y'all something: Kam Chancellor DEFINITELY made a helmet-to-helmet hit on Edelman, and nobody called a 15-yard penalty on them. As far as I'm concerned, with the ref setting that pick on Revis for Baldwin's TD catch, we were dead even. Also, Michael Bennett is a classless tool for tripping Tom Brady after the Amendola TD catch.

      If you really thought he "almost" took Brady's heart, you weren't really paying attention. He didn't come close and no one really has in Brady's career. Yes Brady has lost some Super Bowls (and yes he was a yard from losing this one), but his spirit has never left him. No one can take Brady's heart, not Sherman, not Eli, not Rodgers, and certainly not Peyton. Tommy Brady still has all the fight and the hunger from his youth, and that's helped him get back to this game and earn this moment.

      Not entirely accurate. In the 11' SB Pats scored on the first possession of the 2nd half to go up 17-9 and failed to score again the rest of the game. All about the welker drop in that game. Would have set the Pats up for at least a FG and possibly milk most of the clock to go up 5. Defense totally let them down in the last drive in 07'.....no doubt about it on that one.
