Eskute Netuno electric bike solution to the motor making a noise but not moving the wheel. Maybe your wheel has randomly gone into reverse. You need to change around the phase wires. Top yellow to bottom green, Top green to bottom blue, Top blue to bottom yellow and if happens again connect back to the matching wires and repeat if keeps happening. Also connect the two white wires to remove the speed restriction.
@EskuteElectricBikesUK
It seems you are missing the internal "key": a small metal part that fits in to the axel slot (near the central motor cog?) and fixes the part were the three cogs are attached. Without that key the 3 cogs just spin around and no movement is transferred to the wheel. The part where 3 cogs are MUST be fixed with relation to the axel. The axel itself is fixed to the frame.
The key is put in correct every time. I know that hat you mean. I done a separate clip of the motor working with out the cover. I still think it's going in reverse. Thanks for your input.
@@OXdElivery(probably, I've made a better answer for this issue below) If the woodruff key (google it, is not a "magnet sensor"...) is on correctly, then check if the cogs are married to each other (motor >to 3 planetary gears >to hub gear) and are not stripped; if this is ok, check if motor cog is not spinning freely (i.e. not firmly attached to the motor body)
(edit: to be sure its moving, try to connect it an run it without the main hub body - but ~carefully~! The 3 planetary gears are reducing the speed & increasing the torque transferred to the outside hub)
Ok, it seems these motors have some sort of freewheel inside the planetary gear assembly (not to engage the electric motor when going backwards...). If I understood correctly, it could be the motor spinning in the wrong direction, as you said before - to fix the direction usually you'll have to unplug any 2 of the 3 wires going from the controller to the motor and rotate them (plug one where the other was, and vice versa), but do your research and double check before trying this. Maybe you can do this also in the controller or display configurations.
Resolved it some time ago now. The motor randomly went into reverse. I moved around some the wires on the control and now its working fine.
i might be too late in the game, but its running on reverse, either change phase/motor wire combination if possible without soldering or prying or if it has a learn wire use that. or change the controller completely if its under warranty. there's no prob with that hub motor.
Resolved it some time ago now. The motor randomly went into reverse. I moved around some the wires on the control and now its working fine.
Thank you for putting this up and the detail , you explained the problem very well and showed lots of information. Thanks to the comments below I have learned something new,
No worries
10:28. No key peg. That slot needs a small chunk of metal. You must of lost or company didn’t add. I believe you’re calling it the magnet sensor. It goes on shaft one way. It locks shaft so motor will spin.
I know what you mean but in the end it was not that it was the motor randomly went into reverse. I changed around the phase wires untill I corrected the direction and all fine. Thank you
Dear i have same u problm in my motor ebike, i think tbis problm in Clutch that is make failed, when use throttel make mailed and make voice in info motor yes
Its running in reverse just swop motor phase around till you find the combination to make it run forward. There is nothing wrong with either motor was no need to dismantle them.
Thanks that what i think. I will try that. ta
You're controller is in reverse.
There is a really good video on how to fix it.
Thanks that what i think, ta
Hello
I had the same problems and symptoms.
My wheels were broken.
I then ordered new ones complete with the base plate.
Unfortunately the freewheel of the base plate was in the wrong position
Direction. I then changed the old base plate for the new one. With this one the freewheel is in the other direction.
It just wasn't the correct part.
Greetings Kai
Missing internal small key that fixed three panium to rated solutions
In the end it was the motor in reverse ta
Where does it sit i have this problem now but i have the Small magnet
Check the motor controller or the motor circuit board. Usually green in colour
Resolved it some time ago now. The motor randomly went into reverse. I moved around some the wires on the control and now its working fine.
There is a key on the shaft that fits into the key way on the planetary gears it doesn't look like that key it there. That would let the motor run but not transfer power to the wheel
Thanks for the advice. In the end the motor was in reverse for some reason. Just had to change some wires around and the problem sorted
The key is briefly visible at 22:30. It is on the shaft correctly but don't know if it was there when he tried to run it.
There called the phase wires. I think its was blue yellow red wires been bit time now since i done it so you might want change on the colour of the,. Hope that helps. Ta
you lost tthe keyway?
No the motor was in reverse.
What connects the 3 cogs and the drive shaft from the motor?
The 3 cogs are not fixed to the the inside case. Should they be fixed to the case? I think this could be the problem as I can't see how it make the wheel move as it is. Both new and old one the same. Thanks
There is a hall sensor inside the throttle..that could be damaged..i discovered that by accident. .trying to find the right controller
did you ever get it fixed ??
In the end the motor was in reverse. I moved around the three phase wires till I got the right combo. Working fine now. Ta
I just got a new one a day go,, have not been back to it,,,
The Hall sensor detects the orientation of the motor and sets the timing,,,,,, It has learned wires...they all maybe vary according to brand
@@OXdElivery Yes those are the timing wires,,, It's about 36 or more different way to change the timing, or orientation,,,,
@@OXdElivery I have a Bfang 48 volt,,,but it will not work unless I have it hooked up to another motor, with built-in Hall Sensors...,,, so the wiring harness subjected to the sensors is in the throttle controller .,
You need to buy a whole new hub. If that doesn't work you need to bring it back to the dealer where you bought it from. Mine is making a clicking sound with the pedal assist but it's still getting me around. I hope I don't run into this problem.
Resolved it some time ago now. The motor randomly went into reverse. I moved around some the wires on the control and now its working fine.
put the shaft key in
Resolved it some time ago now. The motor randomly went into reverse. I moved around some the wires on the control and now its working fine.
I have a front hub bafang motor Never been used. Has a faulty hall sensor.
On mine it was the motor in reverse. Changed around the phase wires and was found fine
@@OXdElivery turned out to be the hall sensors. They're small so soldering them isn't going to be easy 😬😬
Yeah there’s no problem with the motor it’s just running in reverse on the controller there’s two wires to reverse the motor if there’s not two wires to do that, you just swap the phases around
Your right it was in reverse. Sorted out some time back now. Still running fine. Ta
Probably the wedge on the axle that is missing
Resolved it some time ago now. The motor randomly went into reverse. I moved around some the wires on the control and now its working fine.
@@OXdElivery It looks like the repair you did was by reversing one of the BLDC phase cables. so that previously it rotated in reverse and resulted in the clutch not functioning. The question is whether when the BLDC motor is just installed it functions normally or after reaching a certain number of kilometers the phase changes so that the clutch cannot bite the wheel?
or the skew? its not attached anymore...there shud be resistance yl spinning the cogs...
Not sure what the skew is. New to electric bike motors. Ta
Bafang quality seems to be hit and miss. I bought a new esc for my bbshd and it had a comunication fault straight out of the box
I got it working in the end. For some reason it was going in reverse. I changed around the phase wires and now it's working again.
Motor spinning backwards
Thanks yup i changed around the phase wires and now working
Why does your cable come out right side mine is on the other side opp5to the gears
No idea sorry
Hi my name is Horacio Sanchez I have the same problem so you did fix it can you please help me can you share with how to fix it please
Thank you
there 3 phase wires i changed around and in the end the motor spun the correct way. You have change them around till you get the correct combo
Did you put the woodruff key in the shaft to lock clutch to shaft🤭🤷♂️
In the end it was in reverse but thanks for the input
Jou motor turn backwards😅
Maybe the magnet is upside down
It seems like the ratchet has gone wrong as could happen with any bike. I could be wrong.
Not sure if that is it
Watch this video it will explain your problem.
How to install a brushless dc controller on a ebike: the missing manual
Thanks i have a seach for that. ta
gear is moving in the case
Resolved it some time ago now. The motor randomly went into reverse. I moved around some the wires on the control and now its working fine.
after paying all that money for your Ebike, you shouldnt have to go through all that.
There are 3 hall sensors inside this motor that are known to fail.
But the motor works it just does not move the outer shell or wheel.
@@OXdElivery Check if you have installed the lock piece behind the planetary gears. Here is a full disassembly video - czcams.com/video/dXlWyjqNJtg/video.html
You can also turn it on without the cover and see the internals rotate
Resolved it some time ago now. The motor randomly went into reverse. I moved around some the wires on the control and now its working fine.
Thats ya gears
In the end it was the motor that was in reverse. Just had to change around the phase wires. Ta
For safety the motor will not spin if the sensors do not detect motion. You hear an initial start but it does not increase because there is no feed back
The motor spins but just dont move the wheel. I look into that. Thanks
i have the same Problem like you . don t no what to do :(
Have you got it working yet? There 3 wires that conect to the control box inside the bike i think its a red yellow and green try changing them around till it works. That should correct it into going forward. Mine working now. Also if you want get rid the spid limit connect to two white wired plugs of the inside control box together. Let me know how it goes.
It's actually the wrong planetary gear/clutch on the new motor. Swap the old planetary set from your old motor
Resolved it some time ago now. The motor randomly went into reverse. I moved around some the wires on the control and now its working fine.
Eskute have sent me a new motor but the new motor does the same as the old motor. Eskute have been very good trying solve the problem. Very happy with there help so far. In this video i test both motors and look inside both motors close up in detail. I can not see the problem maybe you can?
its the clutch i guess...
Its going backwards 2 things you can do
1 change the 3 phases wires around on the controller
2 there should be a learning wire which you connect and when it runs the right direction just disconnect it hope it helps
@@RandomClips27. Thanks I did that and the motor working fine now.
@@OXdElivery what waas the problem, ??
@@OXdElivery Please make a video of how you solve this problem. I experienced the same thing as the BLDC motor rotating but the wheels did not rotate
take it to some one that knows what they are doing, clearly you dont
Could be the clutch is beoken
Resolved it some time ago now. The motor randomly went into reverse. I moved around some the wires on the control and now its working fine.
Stop calling it an engine, it's a *motor* !
What is the motor model number?
Not sure mate i have a look later. May have solved it but i thought that few times now haha. Just charging the battery than giving it another go.
@@OXdElivery any update?
@@marsdencarl89 Still not working. Eskute are taking there time.
@Doorstep delivery seems very strange that the motor is spinning but the wheels aren't there must be a simple solution to this 🤔
@@marsdencarl89 Only thing i can think of is its spinning in reverse for some reason maybe the control?
