If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.

I've been in sales for over 40 years. I started in door to door for 5 plus years. This is the best video I've ever seen on building a sales company.
What part of it really resonates?
@@PGproductionsHD Most of it actually. But, the main portion for me would be all the incremental steps taken to make all of those % improvements. It shows you that it's doable by anyone, you just have to go step by step and actually practice good business instead of hype.

@@incometrek1849same ... I started in sales in 2002. The reality is that it is a numbers game. You need a lot of effort at the top of the funnel to get a smaller percentage sold at the bottom of the funnel. If you work hard at every stage you can make it work. A lot of people at the early stages in sales and business think that they will close a few big ticket items and make a truck load of cash. The reality is a lot different

My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to take risks. Saving is great but taking risks puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. Thanks to larysa Caba, my portolio is doing really great and im proud of the decisions i made last year.
I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have,making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. My biggest advice is to always seek the services of a professional just like I did when I ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I now make huge profits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.
I think she trades for everyone I meet. I met her twice at a meeting in Germany and after her lectures from Ella I had to personally ask her to be my financial advisor. she is definitely good.
I have never seen a trader as open and transparent as Larysa Caba with her clients. The way she decides to make a profit for her clients. she allows you to express your fears and she still rests your fears and that is my respect. You’re thinking of it wrong man. You don’t build a business to make money. You build a business to fulfill a need (product or service) and add value to a customer’s life, which in turns makes you money.
@@dooby1445 Yes but what could that possibly be? I only need 10,000 dollars per month of net income.
And honestly it was not 120 days, it was the unspoken hardwork of 15+ years of struggle you did. But now it gets compounded with your knowledge and actions, even pennies can compound into millions in months. So it is true it not luck. But its not true that it was made in 120 days. Please be clear about it. The same compound effect is working here which Darren hardy spoke about in his book.

Its 45% of the number. To give you an idea, if you go from 40% close rate to 60% close rate, you haven't increased it by 20%, you have increased it by 50% because [60=40+20] and 20 is 50% of 40

but I'm confusing only the point that he said at the beginning, he added 21.6M in a single quarter but then at the end he showed that it was really 5.4M and he multiplied 4 for the year which equals to 21.6M.
So is it 21.6M in a single quarter or 21.6M in a year ?
It was a video hook. He created great changes to increase conversions in the funnel by a large percent in a quarter. Can that be done every quarter? Doubt it. But the video was still gold so I don’t mind the exaggerated hook that got me to watch it
