This is my favorite NBA podcast. Sometimes we as fans forget that professional athletes are people just like us. The way you conduct your interviews really makes me feel like I can relate to the athletes on a more humane level, which means a lot because I (as well as many others) have always looked up to professional athletes. I truly appreciate what you do, keep up the incredible interviews. God bless.

My first introduction to Steph Curry was when he lit up my Wisconsin Badgers in the Sweet 16 smh. I was 10 at the time and just remember the disbelief I had at his performance. I had never heard of either Davidson or Steph Curry before that game, but he put himself on my radar real quick. And still he continued to shock the world, and still does to this day, it's truly incredible. I'm just grateful to be a witness to such legendary basketball in my life.

I remember watching March Madness with my dad in 2008. I was 10 years old then. I immediately fell in love with Curry and I don't know how anyone watching that couldn't have. He became my favorite player over that month. I was actually upset when he got drafted by the warriors because I didn't really like them. I was a spurs fan but mainly because of my dad at the time. But I started secretly rooting for the warriors. The game that made me become a full fledged warriors fan forever was when Steph dropped 54 in MSG.... I was mesmerized. from that point on they've been my favorite team. He was a complete underdog back then and I can't believe I just watched him break the all time 3 point record. Who would have thought. Stephen Curry is THE greatest shooter of all time and I'm so happy I got to witness it and will be able to witness whatever he does next. Its Dubs for life for me now.

I grew up in the Bay Area and started going to games when I was 7. These were Purvis Short/Sleepy Floyd/Joe Barely Cares and a 2nd-year Chris Mullin. After 1992-3, they started sucking and didn't stop sucking, really, until 2013 or so. 20 years...but I noped out after We Believe. The next summer, while the whole Bay was still riding the high of the 8th seed upsetting the 1st seed, and the old owner, Chris Cohan, sold us out and broke up the team. I could not stand the free-fall of disappointment. So I stopped watching entirely. 100%.
Around the beginning of the 14-15 season, though, my brother (who I went to a lot of those old games with, him and my dad) told me that I really should check out the team again. I was scornful, still smarting from Cohan's weaselshit moves. But then he said, yo Cohan sold the team years ago (I live out of the country; I miss some news.) Okay, that's nice, but... yeah, and they're good. 2nd round exit last year. Sure, great, but come on, even a mediocre team at best can get lucky. Okay, he said, you should check them out because of this Curry kid. Who? He gets smug. Go watch some highlights and then tell me you're not interested in watching the Dubs still.
So I watched the highlights, and then I watched every game for the next 3 seasons. I haven't been able to keep that up, sadly, because of my work schedule.
We're so lucky to have been able to see his career, and I'm honestly dreading when he retires because I just don't know if I will ever truly enjoy basketball again when he, Klay, and Draymond are gone.

He makes his team so much better because he is so good off the ball if you watch all warriors games you realize how often all players bring the ball up and initiate offense it seems like a simple thing but letting everyone touch the ball often even if they aren’t shooting has a lot of value it has an energy it keeps every player engaged. And Steph cheering for teammates and celebrating them like he is a walk on college player has a ton of value other guys do it now but he was the first one to really go crazy over bench players making plays.
His ball handling is incredible too and his ability to finish around the rim. He makes all his teammates look good I bet you could take tons of g league guys and put them on warriors and a lot of them would look great. Steph just loves the game so much so does klay and Draymond they aren’t worried about media nerds or casual fans appreciating them they are so deep in love with the game everyday is fun and figuring it out is fun. The warriors are the most explosive team they can go on a run at any time and nothing can stop them once it’s rolling and a lot of that comes from Steph playing off ball he can get others open with screens or by drawing 2 and then it’s numbers 4 on 3 on back side. Steph is a good defender too he isn’t that big but he is a good team and position defender.

Webb, a walking 20/10 his rookie season) and all to make another couple million dollars. He's a tool.

The two best things Cohan ever did for us fans was drafting Curry and selling the team to Lacob and Guber! I started watching the Warriors when was like 8 years old during the Run TMC era and was so sad to see what they became.
Some of the talent we got were good (Webber and Sprewell), but we never really got to see their prime while on our team. J Rich got me back into the Warriors and many years later we got the We Believe team. By that time I could afford to buy tickets to actually go to the game, so I was lucky enough to see them in person a few times that year. That team... I really, really believed in them. All those threes against Dallas in the first round and the Baron Davis poster dunk, I never thought it would get better than that. My only wish was to be able to witness one Warriors championship in my lifetime and I thought I’d be an old man by that time.
The next year when we missed the playoffs due to being one game short, that broke my heart and the team basically split up. I tried watching Monte lead, but it just felt like again, we were never even going to make the playoffs. When we drafted Curry, I knew he was a great shooter but him and Monte together never worked, so I soon checked out again.
Funny enough, I checked back in when they traded Monte for Bogut. I didn’t like it, like most Warriors fans, but it got me to watch to see if I was right. I sure am glad I was so, so wrong though! The 2013 playoffs against the Nuggets was the closest thing to We Believe and I enjoyed every moment. In 2015, I didn’t care how much I had to pay or where I sat, but I got tickets for the Finals, Game 5, and have zero regrets. Curry shutting up everyone saying Delavadova was his kryptonite and seeing them take down the “King” was so satisfying. Then we’re lucky enough to witness the best regular season team ever and two more championships? I felt spoiled, finally, for sure.
The 2019 and 2020 injuries and losing Iguodala and KD brought me back down to reality and it was very hard to watch, but the 2021 and these 2022 Warriors.... I’m just enjoying it because I know I won’t be spoiled forever.

You don't want to be the average person you want to be the best or you want to be the greatest at what you do and how you do it. And I believe Steph Curry has shown everyone that he is the greatest 3-point shooter. Just like LeBron is great at what he does. So is Steph Curry. Good health is good wealth with God thank you

ok here's my Steph story. Steph was playing in 2nd game of a back to back in bklyn. He had about 9 at the end of 3rd quarter, Now you could tell he was tired, his jumper was a little off. The Nets were winning by 11 going into the 4th quarter, Now this the Joe Johnson, Robin lopez Bklyn Nets, not the Khiry, KD crew. So he comes out at the beginning of the 4th, like " let me see if I can get something started" Steph hits a mid range, and hits a 3. The crowd goes nuts. Joe Johnson is playing hard so he's battling Steph. Steph comes down and hits another 3, The crowd is freeeking out. Now in NYC, When a hot player gets the ball, the crowd stands up, cause they want to see him hit another 3. So Steph gets the ball again, The crowd stands up, he hits another 3, the building was shaking!!!! Now the funniest part of the story is Igoudala. Looking into the crowd, like what is going on here? This is supposed to be an away game. lol

People don’t even understand, because of how he shoots, even on a terrible shooting night, he’s still a threat. Also the fact that he has no conscious, makes it worse, he doesn’t care about his last shot, it’s on to the next. Even if he doesn’t win a finals MVP in the finals, the Warriors don’t win without him. His gravitational pull on the court opens up the floor for everybody. You literally take his defender away from everyone because he can’t leave Steph to double team anyone. Most of the time he’s doubled between half court and the 3.

Like Lebron isn’t really unique in his ability, he’s just unique in being so great in so many different areas. But then someone like Steph or Shaq are unique in the way that nobody else can do what they do. They may not be great in as many areas as Lebron or Bird or Magic but what they do best no one else can do the same way.

I think Steph is exactly what the NBA was hoping for (and then some) back in 2002-2003 when they decided to remove defense from the NBA.
With almost all of the superstars from the 80s and 90s retired, the NBA needed something to keep the ratings up. So they decided no defense, no hand checking, no trash talking, no fights and lots of scoring. So then you get steph entering the league in 2009 and he fits that offensive bill. Plus, he isn't a big guy so it gives hope to the average fan that they can make it too.
