The divorced headlight design works pretty decent on the Macan, unlike how BMW executed on their cars.

@@harmony3138 Not sure what you are talking about Seiko has some of the best build quality in the world. There are plenty of watches around Rolex's level that are of the same built quality. The reason why people own Rolex including myself is that it holds value due to lack of supply. When it comes to cars, GT3 would be close to a Rolex, it's hard to get so it holds value. It doesn't have anything to do with built quality. 991.1 GT3 has one of the worst-built engines and it's still a collectable. If we just look at quality and not value then Tesla wouldnt sell a single car. Yet it’s the best selling electric car company in the world. So numbers speak to which matters more to the consumer.

Only reason I buy my Porsche is for their amazing gas engines. Anyone can make a car with big battery and ev engine, no reason to over pay for a Porsche EV.

Try sitting in a Porsche vs. a Tesla. I drive a Tesla but the Porsche interior and drive is still much better.

It's interesting that PCNA is paying more attention to CC & CA, rather than Taycan's stacking up in the back lot with plumbing values. Since the late 60s, I've purchased this outstanding motorcar for performance, quality & magnificent sound. Not interested in a Dyson with all & I mean all the issues that comes with it. PROST!
Anyone who knows a macan knows the window switches have a satisfying click….they click when they pop off….i hope the ev has a better build quality as the macan isn’t worthy of the tag as a “prestige car”….my experience anyway.

You probably don't know this but going electric isn't a choice. It is because of government regulations. ICE cars will be banned in Asia and Europe some time between 2030 and 2035. Car manufacturers simply don't have a choice. Consumers will also not have a choice. Even if one or two markets allow ICE cars it won't be economical to invest in the R&D.
only problem with your comment is EV sales are up only slower than expected. What the media like to do is ignore 5 quarters of growth then 1 bad quarter happens and they go "see EVs are a failure"

No mention of the missing rear wiper. Also, Porsche is the only EV brand the retains a panoramic sunroof that actually opens.
Make sure to aim the camera down into the bins so we can see the bottom.

Most vehicles, mainstream and luxury cars will depreciate. It’s a silly argument that I read way too often. Most people buying vehicles are not buying them because they appreciate in value. they buy them because of the driving dynamic and if their wallet can afford it, they will drop $$$ on luxury brands never once debating if they should because they are paying premium fuel prices or that the value will drop in 2-3yrs. Of course the value drops, in 2 to 3 years drivers are putting tens of thousands of miles and wear and tear on the body. It is ridiculous to think that the value would not drop significantly because of that I don’t want someone’s secondhand goods because I don’t know how they treated the vehicle and aesthetics, don’t tell us everything on how that car was treated and handled. If you are pinching pennies/shopping the clearance bin/clipping coupons and you just have to have a luxury brand, consider a CPO

I would never buy a Porsche that was electric. They wont hold their value and will never be collectible as holding the car just kills the battery and is a liability.

Porsche already confirmed they were overwhelmed by the amount of preorders the new Macan got so far (over 10.000). Deal with it that more and more countries rule out ICE cars

EVs are a joke. They only make sense if you live in a house with a level 2 charger that allows you to charge overnight. They also only make sense as a city commuter, taking an EV on a road trip is just ridiculous and not efficient
As a commuter living in a house, the running costs on an EV is ridiculously low. I can buy an EV that is 50% more expensive than my former ICE car and still have same total cost of ownership. But I agree that you need to be able to charge at home over night for them to be a good choice. In 2-3 years long trips in an EV is going to be comparable to ICE cars today. 50% more average capacity and 100% faster charging. So even on motorways you will only need a 10-15min charging stop every 3-4 hours.
